19,000 posts dealt with and five forums exterminated without problems. This board now has my approval.

No. But sometimes I see a "cloaked" user, which may or may not be you, but other times I see your name down there in bright orange... *shrug*David wrote:My online status is being shown despite turning it off in my profile, is anyone else having this problem?

Yeah, graphic heavy posts and long spam posts seem to take awhile, but I'm saying that's the connection (either their trunk or a software limiter). For the underlying software side it seems easily as solid as it is here (Multiple Searches and sorts in different windows and lots of deletions in seperate windows works fine.) However Im finding a lot of Lag coming out of the Deletion screen regardless of whether I'm doing it singly or in seperate windows simultaneously). Also, Mike I think you should keep your Flood controls active as I'm seeing a few white windows with posts I add (before deleting them) so it might be prudent to either reinstate it - or if it's still on reset it's threshholds to something slightly more conservative.IG-88E wrote:OK, it seems to be working much better now. The only problem I see is that it still slows down on occasion. Overall, a 9.5 in score.

Yes, Exonerate's massive posts slow things down a lot. I've been killing them.Rob Wilson wrote:Yeah, graphic heavy posts and long spam posts seem to take awhile, but I'm saying that's the connection (either their trunk or a software limiter). So I've noticed. however I'm about to test a thread with a huge Smiley count, you may want to stay out of 100, 200, 300 and 400 in the O/T forum. I'll delete them after 20 mins or so, I just want to check the load and refresh times in single windows then multiples.IG-88E wrote: Yes, Exonerate's massive posts slow things down a lot. Delete ok it had no problems refreshing 100 smileys, 200 twisted, 300 lol and 400 roll, in 5 windows each doing a serial refresh run through the windows the only one that slowed was the roll and not by much.
With 1000 oops, 1000 smileys and 1000 twisted in 5 windows each the refresh rates were almost the same but all were at least twice as long as the 400 roll. 20 windows refreshing 1000 oops only led to jerk-o-vision and blank screen city, 20 refreshing 1000 smileys only was well within an acceptable time though occasional blank screens, 20 refreshing 1000 twisted was almost as slow as oops and seemed to have less blank screens though.
Somehow i don't think we'll have too many speed problems with the new board, it's at least as fast as our current one.
