download processing issues?

Post by phred »

Lately I've been having a problem with downloading seriously slowing down my computer. For instance if I even go to facebook or some comics site the computer starts lagging.(mouse cursor starts jumping music starts skipping) I'm not even sure where to start looking to fix this. Suggestions?

Firefox, but its not just that. It happens downloading anything including patches for games and stuff as well. I am running Vista as well if that helps.

Open up your task manager, go to an affected page and see what's eating up memory and/or CPU. It *might* be your firewall or AV having issues.

What happens when you visit same websites or download same files in Internet explorer or Chrome ? It could be possible your firefox has some extensions installed thats causing the problems.
