They're as bad as the 9/11 Truthers. If the Holocaust was all some big hoax, just how many bodies would have to be in cahoots. The OKW, the SS, the Gestapo, the Jewish civilians, Police forces throughout Germany and the occupied territories, the Allies....to name a few. And of course it has to be mentioned that not all camps had gassing facilities. While all of them were vile places, somewhere like Auschwitz was huge as it wasn't just a camp, it was three main camps, Auschwitz I, the Stammlager, a former Polish Army Barracks, Auschwitz II (Birkenau), the largest one, and Auschwitz III (Monowitz) as well a networks of sub camps.

Well many were killed in the crossfire of the war, were deported and never returned to their home area after the war, were killed by Stalin & co, perished in the general hardship out east, were killed in the partisan war or by allied terror bombing. How exactly do you kill almost 6 million people during an occupation without deliberately targeting the civilian populace?

Poland was conquered in 1,5 months in 1939. Until the Soviet offensive, it was under occupation. How the fuck does an occupier manage to "accidentally" kill 2,8 million poles and an additional 3 million or so Polish jews in the non-existent "crossfire"? Crossfire between who?

There were no carpet bombings of Polish cities, no year-long struggles for control of major metropolies, no mass deportations, yet, somehow, six million people went *poof*. Soviet deportations can account for about 350 thousand ; What about the rest?

As for orders, there is an exhibit at Auschwitz I, showing entire walls plastered full of reproduced German memos which discuss the systematic campaign of starvation and brutality of Poles and Jews. In detail. Then again, I guess deliberately setting food rations to starvation levels doesn't count as "an order to kill"...I mean, it only talks about destroying a nation. Nothing sinister about it at all...

Another piece of evidence was the Wannsee conference with Heydrich and Eichmann among many others, and the fact that one copy of the minutes survived even though all were meant to be destroyed.

These idiots obsess on the anti jewish side. Even the documentary I mentioned which is well worth watching mentions that Auschwitz was initially constructed not to house Jews but Soviet POW's. Then add in groups like Gypsies, Slavs, Jehovahs Witnesses, the physically and mentally handicapped, homosexuals, to name but a few. However, these idiots always seem to forget that.

His claims are mostly complete lies, anyway: there's plenty of photos of mass graves, he just said they're not proof of anything because they don't show hundreds of thousands of victims, when that's not the claim: the claim is that a lot of people were systematically murdered, not that they were all buried in a couple sites. Same with his "prussian blue" claim: why should there be residue on the walls of gas chambers where it was used in low concentrations? Why should it remain when the chambers were dynamited and sat there exposed to the elements?

As I wrote before: any claim made by a holocaust denier is a lie or a distortion unless he can prove otherwise - that should be the modus operandi when disucssing with them. They've thrown their credibility to the wind far too many times to accept anything less. And for the love of God, don't get involved in searching for evidence to disprove their claims: they should be doing all the work, citing the references and summarizing them. It's only fair when you try to challenge every respected historian ever.

Of course, they also act as if anything they can question (mostly through ignorance) is proof of a massive conspiracy of lies. It's like a physicist who takes one look at the results of a single experiment and declares conservation of energy abolished, when he should first ask himself if he didn't make a mistake somewhere in the setup.

Once the gas was activated, the victims bit, clawed, fought and beat on each other and the doors until they died. Part of the Sonderkommando's job was to clean the blood, urine and feces of the floors, walls and ceilings. They did this with fire hoses. Then the insides of the chambers were repainted, top-to-bottom if need be. The Chambers were, by needs, kept absolutely spotless.

The Germans went to the trouble of providing soothing music and numbered coat hooks for their victims. They weren't so dumb as to ruin their illusion by forcing them into a "shower room" wreaking of spoiled bodily fluids. Camp commandants that left evidence of the Final Solution for all and sundry were demoted or reassigned.

Neo-Nazi jailed Anders Hoegstroem for stealing Auschwitz sign


A POLISH court has jailed a Swedish neo-Nazi leader for 32 months for masterminding the theft of the infamous "Arbeit macht frei" sign from the entrance to the Auschwitz death camp.

Anders Hoegstroem, 34, who originally faced up to 10 years behind bars, in November struck a plea bargain by admitting his role in the theft before the case reached court.

On Thursday, a court in the southern Polish city of Krakow, accepted the 32-month prison term agreed in the plea bargain.

"He will serve the sentence in Sweden, in accordance with an agreement with Swedish justice authorities," Polish court spokesman Rafal Lisak told AFP after the court announced its verdict.

"He will be transferred to Sweden immediately after the verdict becomes binding in seven days," Mr Lisak said.

The theft of the sign from the site of the World War II death camp created by Nazi Germany in Oswiecim, southern Poland, sparked outrage in Israel and was strongly condemned in Poland and Germany as well as by the Jewish Diaspora around the globe.

Hoegstroem was arrested in Sweden on a Polish warrant in February on suspicion of ordering the theft.

Polish police recovered the five-metre metal sign - which in German means work will set you free - two days after it went missing on December 18, 2009. It had been chopped into three pieces.

Five Polish men were also arrested and charged with the actual theft of the sign, three of whom were sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison earlier this year.

Two others struck plea bargains along with Hoegstroem which the court in Krakow also approved yesterday. A man identified only as Marcin A was sentenced to 30 months behind bars, while another named as Andrzej S was sentenced to 28 months. Each were also fined 10,000 zloty ($3290).

In 1994, Hoegstroem founded the National Socialist Front, a Swedish neo-Nazi movement he ran for five years before quitting.

He originally told Swedish media he was to act as an intermediary to pick up the sign and sell it to a buyer, adding however that he informed Polish police about the people behind the plot. No suspected buyer was ever identified by police.

Run by the Polish state, the museum on the grounds of the former Auschwitz death camp immediately replaced the stolen sign with a copy.

The original sign is now being repaired but museum officials have still not decided whether to reinstall it to its original spot over the gate to the camp entrance or keep it in the museum's collection.

Security at the museum has been beefed up since the theft in a bid to prevent future robberies or vandalism on the vast grounds of the Auschwitz-Birkenau twin death camp sites.

Of the six million Jews killed by Nazi Germany in the Holocaust, one million were murdered at Auschwitz, mostly in the camp's notorious gas chambers, along with tens of thousands of others including Poles, Roma and Soviet prisoners of war.

After hearing the sentence, the guy said: "This country is a joke. Poles should be ashamed of themselves."

When i was in High School we had a History Teacher that was also an avid collector. He has a massive collection of Items from history including a lot of neat Titanic stuff. He would bring in for every week of class stuff from the period we were studying. (Just as an FYI he donated all his stuff to a History Museum when he died.)
