Former One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson, who made her political name railing against immigrants, says she is emigrating to Britain because there are no more opportunities for her in Australia.
In an interview with Woman's Day, the divisive former federal MP revealed her plans to sell her south-east Queensland property and leave Australia.
"I'm going to be away indefinitely. It's pretty much goodbye forever," she said in the interview.
"I've really had enough. I want peace in my life. I want contentment and that's what I'm aiming for."
The conservative Ms Hanson courted controversy throughout her career in politics, calling for a reduction in immigration.
She also used her maiden speech in Parliament to warn that Australia could be "swamped with Asians".
She remains critical of Australian governments, saying politicians are not brave enough to say what they really think.
"Over-regulation, increasing taxes and lack of true representation are affecting our way of life. I feel very much for the young ones," she said.
"Once it was common for them to own their own home. Not now. It's a harder place. Sadly, the land of opportunity is no more applicable."
Her most recent involvement in politics was her unsuccessful attempt to win the Queensland state seat of Beaudesert as an independent in last year's state election. She also ran unsuccessfully for a Queensland Senate seat in 2007.
"I know I will never be given a chance to re-enter Parliament again," she said.
Ms Hanson told the magazine she will sell her property at Coleyville, south-west of Brisbane, then relocate to Britain where she can get dual citizenship.
"I'm 56 this year. So, while I've still got my health, I want to get out there," she said.
Maybe she could join the BNP and have Nick Griffin rail against immigrants displacing the indigenous Britons (oops I forgot the Normans did that in the 11 th century and before that the Anglo Saxons had their turn).Good riddance ..... now she is an immigrant!!!!!!! ha ha wonder if she likes being one of "these people" "coming over taking all our jobs:....... which flag will she drape over herself now?? Will she assimilate?? lol its just sooooo funny
I only have one more thing to add. I hear there is demand for Fish and Chips in the UK.
