We talikng about Christian fundies or Muslim? I think the Christian ones would denounce it (ala Harry Potter), and the Muslims wouldn't bat an eye.

Muslim, Salman Rushdie is hated by the entire Middle-east, they have many bounties on him for saying they are barbaric and violent people.

Anyway, those Muslims are overreacting. You don't see Christian Fundies putting the authors of books they deem "blaspemous" on wanted signs.
