GTA: Vice City

Post by The Great Unbearded One »

I heard somewhere that there is infact a money code for Vice City as there was on GTA III. Does anyone know if this is a cruel rumour or if there is infact one out there cause I'm $15,000 off of buying the Malibu

A cheat for more money does not fall under the category of playing legitimately.

I am weird or something, because I don't play GTA III or GTA VC but I have both. I just act as a sniper and pick people off, and run them over. Violence is so amusing, and people say video games give bad examples....

I would never consider doing it in real life thats obsurd, I just do it to relieve nature aggresion and the police and Helos can get you pretty pumped up when they are chasing after you.

There are a few missions in Vice that require you to be a good shot at a sniper... but yes, I would consider you wierd for owning them and not properly playing them.

<thought> People, what do you prefer? GTA III or Vice City?

GTA III - 0
Vice - 1

Vice City, easily. Even though it is by no means the groundbreaker that GTA3 was, Vice City is simply a better game.

I still haven't achieved 100% in GTA3. I'm at 99% but it says that I still have one mission to complete... :?

For every ten packages you collect, you get a special weapon delivered to your hideout. It saves you a lot of money, and in Vice City you get the Hunter (an Apache helicopter, the sweetest ride of the game) when you collect all 100.

You can also get the Hunter without getting any Apache helicopters by completing the mission "Keep Your Friends Close...," getting a cop uniform, and picking up the heli at Fort Baxter by the airport.

The best is taking along the Hunter on Vigilante missions, where you can lay the vengeance of the Lord on all evildoers from above, taking hundreds of lives and destroying millions of dollars worth of property in the process, mwahaha...

If you have a high wanted level, do other Apaches come after you in the air?

I don't think so, but I've never reached six stars in the Hunter before on Vigilante missions. Police helicopters will come after you, but they're not even a big enough threat for you to waste time blowing them out of the sky.

At six stars the Apaches do come with some regularity(sit on top of your mansion and start firing.)

Though with GTA:VC coming to the PC, that'll be a while given Sony's nature of literally buying out Rockstar for the sole purpose of only allowing it to be used for the PS2(seriously...they stated this in the press release)

GTA3 came out right before this lockdown, so who knows(Halo is coming to the PC and MS did a lockdown on Bungie in the same fashion)

Any game company no matter how much they are about to get paid should limit themselves to one system. I have GTA III for both PC and PS2 and VC, So I spent about as much as I payed for my console on only three games. It would be against capitalistic beliefs to not expand the waste of money is pretty stupid.
