Assume competence of whatever is manning it, that it can actually fight and all that other good stuff to be fair and even about it.
A Federation Pit Bull (assuming such a thing exists) would do pretty well against an Imperial cat.

7 KT for LTLs?

TIE lasers = 1 KT. Capship lasers = 6 MT. Where would this 7 KT LTL be? Wasn't the AT-AT lasers rated at a minimum of 16 KT recently..
Where are the 1 kt TIE lasers coming from?

TIE lasers were pretty strong and I'd put them up w/ Slave 1's midship guns at 2 kt.

The point is looking at the power avalible to a starfighter, they could easily mount heavier weapons (say 10-5kt), if there is no other technical or physical limitation. Bottom line we only know the energy weapon yeild of what would be considered obsolete 20 year old fighters. We never see a starfighter shoot anything in the OT, that can be used to accuratly determine there weapons yeild.
I wasn't arguing minimum and this states my point quite well.

Slave 1's guns IMHO could probably fire heavier beams with a higher recycle rate then the repeating fire seen in AOTC.

The Jedi Starfighter is an extremely compact design which seems more an armed courier/scout to me, and thus the 1 kt is pretty appropriate.

The Carrack isn't a top-of-the-line design, by any means, but just because it's old and relatively small (compared to the ISDs and Mon Cal Cruisers) doesn't mean it isn't an effective warship.
LTL batteries are around 7 KT IIRC. Thats not a major threat. However Carrack Cruisers also carry a handful of HTLs IIRC. Thats a different story.[/quote]

A Carrack Cruiser is armed with multiple MTL batteries, and designed to combat capital ships, but almost anything in SW is powerful enough to destroy a ST ship. When you consider that Queen Amidala's personal YACHT in AotC has sufficient shielding to dissipate the E-D's entire torpedo payload, by most estimates, in one second, you find that even the smallest capital ships will be impervious to UFP assault.

Sounds to me like any Fed ship with X class Phasers (and compararable targeting systems) MIGHT destroy an unshielded SW ship (probably fighter-size), assuming Feddie ship shoots first. but I don't know if the fighter armor would be too tuff.

Don't know about other species in ST, I don't watch it enoungh.

How about a heavy Klingon Bird-of-Prey against, say, a Y-wing? Maybe a X-wing...

Erm... Guys? There's a sticky thread about SW fighters vs. ST capital ships at the top of the forum. And this is thread necromancy.
It's Rogue, not Rouge!
