converting to PDF files
Any one know of good preferably free programs that allow us to convert to PDF. I am particularly interested in converting various HTML documents into PDF then combining them into a single PDF document. My google foo has found a few, but I am not sure which one is particularly good and the first one I tried didn't seem to do much.

CutePDF is pretty much the standard for this type of thing among the free stuff out there.

The PrintPDF Firefox extension allows you to print webpages as pdf. Don't know about combining them though.

PDF Creator works with most programs for creating PDF files.

Re: converting to PDF files
Question - does it also allow us to cut out things while in PDF format. The reason I ask is I have found a file to convert to PDF and one to join them together, however because I convert from HTML there are adverts there as well as blank spaces. The Kernel wrote:CutePDF is pretty much the standard for this type of thing among the free stuff out there.

IIRC, no, but if you use Firefox with the Firebug extension you can alter the page before printing (and disable/hide ads, etc.). If you want to actually modify objects on the PDF you'll probably need the full Acrobat.mr friendly guy wrote:Question - does it also allow us to cut out things while in PDF format.
