There are any number of possibilities -- they have an outside benefactor, they salvaged Ori/Ancient/Anubis tech, they found another Icarus-style world, etc. We'll know for sure in about two months.PREDATOR490 wrote:1:10 - Telford looking beat up saying 'your all in danger, they are coming'. I can only suspect its going to be Lucian Alliance at this point because Telford wouldnt need to warn them about something coming otherwise. Although, that kinda begs the question of where the Lucian Alliance have managed to come up with power sources / drives that allow them to reach the Destiny.

I don't get why you think that. Sure she's in there, but much more is going on. And I don't mind her being given due focus. She personifies the difficulties faced by the ludicrously inadequate crew, and seems to be a nice enough lass, willing to pitch in.PREDATOR490 wrote: The rest of it is just useless drivel typical of a trailer and what little is there is useless without context. At best it looks like some more flashy action including some X304s on the hometurf. Since there is almost nothing new on the horizon worth watching I guess this will do but this trailer indicates the writers are focusing on Chloe as a selling point which does not impress me.
Sure, she's pretty and eye-candy, but so's Greer and the Lt.

Re: First Look at SGU Season 1.5
I want to see more of the other cast and have them fleshed out, as it is Chloe has had a fairly decent amount of the past episodes to explore her character and be used as a drama point. Its nice and all getting the 'clueless' perspective from Chloe and Eli but it would be nice to get some other perspectives as well. Like Earth trying to figure out how to get them back or the crew of Destiny trying to take control of the situation. Although the latter at least seems to be coming from the 'we need real leadership' line.
I just hope the new 'leader' dosent end up being Chloe....

Chloe, leading the ship? No. I doubt they'll do that.

Agreed; Wray is the more likely candidate.NecronLord wrote:Chloe, leading the ship? No. I doubt they'll do that.
I'm curious, though, what would prompt Young to relinquish command. It's probably a result of Rush's inevitable return and the resulting fallout, but who knows.

What do people think about the guy who sat in the ancient chair thingy? Will he die/be dead by next ep, or will have provide some expertise in whats-his-face's absence?
A scientist once gave a public lecture on astronomy. He described how the Earth orbits around the sun and how the sun, in turn, orbits around the centre of a vast collection of stars called our galaxy.
At the end of the lecture, a little old lady at the back of the room got up and said: 'What you have told us is rubbish. The world is really a flat plate supported on the back of a giant tortoise.
The scientist gave a superior smile before replying, 'What is the tortoise standing on?'
'You're very clever, young man, very clever,' said the old lady. 'But it's turtles all the way down.'

For all we know, the assumption on that quote is 'until I return through the stargate' not like trailers are ever that accurate.JME2 wrote:Agreed; Wray is the more likely candidate.NecronLord wrote:Chloe, leading the ship? No. I doubt they'll do that.

I think he'll survive, and either way have learnt something from his experience.adam_grif wrote:What do people think about the guy who sat in the ancient chair thingy? Will he die/be dead by next ep, or will have provide some expertise in whats-his-face's absence?

Yeah, in as much as getting your skull drilled without anesthesia anyways
Looks very interesting so far from the trailers. I wonder, if that is really Telford and not someone he using as an avatar, how did he gate to the ship? One more mystery to resolve

"Of course, what would really happen is that in Game 7, with the Red Sox winning 20-0 in the 9th inning, with two outs and two strikes on the last Cubs batter, a previously unseen meteor would strike the earth, instantly and forever wiping out all life on the planet, and forever denying the Red Sox a World Series victory..."
