A new Predator movie? Nice, didn't knew there was one coming. I didn't had sound when I played the sneak preview but it looks like it's going to be Predator with but with more Predators. The first movie had 1 Predator going against a group of humans. This movie has multiple Preds going against a group of humans, and I'm afraid that the Preds will get nerfed.

Would have been cooler if they made one with Preds going against Colonial Marines.

Or failing that

Imagine how much you'd hate Predator if--instead of Arnold Schwarzenegger--the lead role was played by Urkel. Not the actor who played Urkel, but actual Urkel. Scratch that, you wouldn't be pissed because that movie would fucking rule.

Screw the Colonial Marines. That'd make it an Aliens vs Predator movie, and that franchise can go get fucked. They ruined goodwill for the franchise when they insisted that both movies take place in the dumbest possible setting.

Yeah, I was shocked when AvP took place on Earth in Antarctica instead of the traditional Aliens setting w/ predators. The films couldn't have been worse, honestly.

As for "Predators", remaking a movie 25 years later seems "too soon", especially since other elements of the franchise are alive and kicking. The cast seems fine, but I'm not sold on a lot of the dialogue seen in that trailer.

Well, El Mariachi was a pretty good movie and Desperado was a decent but still inferior English remake of it. From Dusk Till Dawn has a nice basic idea and some good Tarantino dialogue, but after you realize what is happening it's just another vampire killing movie. Sin City was OK but not great. That's about it for Rodriguez.

Mmm, I read some of the leaked script, theres some sort of schism/conflict, with "standard" preds getting their arse kicked by super-duper enhanced preds with high tech mini-guns etc. IIRC, the script is literally steaming with " OMG he's so much more badass and awesome than the others who are nothing to this new pred"

I got more of a "we crash-landed our ship in the wrong planet" kind of vibe. Woah, now I'm getting flashes of a Pitch Black / Predator crossover. Man, Riddick vs Predator would be awesome.

And fuck super-whatevers. The only upgrade I find tolerable are badass Preds like the old Predator in Predator2, or the Mr.Wolf Predator in AvP2.

Easy enough to achieve. Take shots of the Predator blasting Blain in the back and cut in footage of Vin Diesel dying from sniper fire in Saving Private Ryan. Done.

As for Predators. Meh, we'll see. The styles of things like Sin City and Once Upon A Time in Mexico do not blend well with Predator for me. Maybe Predator 2 with a lot more talking of the humans between kill crazy rampages.

And Topher Grace. Don't forget Topher Grace. I mean if it takes Ah-nuld, Apollo Creed, Jesse "I ain't got time to bleed" Ventura and Sonny Landham to kill one Predator then those two must be able to take down...like...20 of them plus Super Predator.
Yeah this can't go wrong.
