On that note...Soul Edge/Blade had a great intro video

Too bad they didn't do one for Soul Calibur...here's hoping for SC2.
I can't wait for SC2...there's going to be a platform-specific character for each of the Big Three consoles. Gamecube gets Link; I don't know what the other two will have.

I'd like to propose the cutscenes from War of the Monsters. It pulls off the cheesy B-movie feel perfectly, like Congar the Giant Ape having once been a NASA space chimp. Perfectly impossible, totally hilarious, and accurate to the feel of the old movies.

Opening and ending sequences to Brood War. Very dramatic.

The coronation on Korhal at the end of the Terran campaign in StarCraft was very well done.

A few of my favorites:

Starlancer: The one where the captain kamikazes his ship. "Come on old girl, just a few more seconds....."

Age of Empires: The openoing intro.

Mechcommander: The opening intro.

Warzone 2100: Opening intro.

Well the War of the Monsters cutscenes definitely rule.

The intro to Conquest: Frontier Wars is good

I love the Krazy Ivan intro.. also the cut-scene where he bugs out because the aliens are advancing towards Eurodisney and he takes off to save Mickey

The battle on the Amerigo was a treat. I also liked the intro movie for Chrono Trigger. That's the playstation version, by the way. Oh, and I mustn't forget: (ahem)

Definately the last movie in Serious Sam, just for the hillarity factor of the hijacked mothership and even moreso the audio track... Crank calling the big baddie from his own hijacked mothership, now that is the height of cool.

The Cut Scenes from C&C generals are mind blowing especially when you consider the cut scenes use the game engine and that what your actually playing. I bought it yesterday and i haven't slept since.

The dancing scene from FFVIII. *wistful sigh*

Your "promotion" in the Command & Conquer Nod Campaign.

Seth decides to send you on an unauthorized mission to attack the Pentagon, but before the briefing even ends, Kane himself shows up by putting a bullet in his head. He then gives you a new mission, and congratulates you on your promotion to Seth's old job.

It's a tie between Rise of Rome(GREAT music) and "Arkantos meets Gargarensis("Quit your babbling", I felt like saying that whenever Mr. Cyclops made stupid poetry) from Age of Mythology.

Heihachi for PS2, I think Spawn for X-box.

The first cutscene for Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee was pretty funny, with the classic bad lipsync and cheesy dub voice. The aliens also screwed up the broadcast, with the leader saying, "Am I still on?"

I dug the opening movie from Resident Evil: Code Veronica on the Dreamcast - very 'Ghost in the Shell'. I must admit to some doubt that, in real life, you could outrun minigun fire from a helicopter flying sideways beside you. If you were a cheetah, maybe; but what the hell - it's cool.
