A very fucking stupid one? Seriously, how the fuck do they even think they'll get away with it when they didn't even try and take B5tech.com references out of the source code? Oops.

Stupid fucks. Unfortunately legal action is likely more trouble then any result is worth. Getting the ISP to take it down should be easy enough though.

By Isoeph,
Notice the site is down now....it looks like either his ISP or he himself has taken action www.dracoalliance.com
seems to be down now Although its just his Index page thats missing now....

Well, I checked the website and while the main page:

http://www.dracoalliance.com/

-- no longer has a link to the fake B5TECH page, the fake is STILL on-line at:

http://www.dracoalliance.com/B5%20homepage.htm

So they're now trying to cover their tracks, but nothing has really changed... save for this buffoon now has added a disclaimer stating that:
The information, images and layout on this site are sourced from various websites, books, programmes, magazines and other media. All text is copyrighted to their original authors, all images is copyrighted to their original artists and no infringements are intended by there use. ([link=www.dracoalliance.com/]www.dracoalliance.com/"[/link])
He goes on to state the following:
It must be remembered however the overall copyrights to Babylon 5 belong to the creator of the show, Joe Michael Straczynski and also that the internet is in part public domain. (dracoalliance.com)
So what his fool is now saying, is that anything written about a TV show is "public domain." Well, if this is the case, wouldn't all the books and novels be "public domain"? After all, they weren't written by JMS?

And THEN he goes onto say:
If any webmasters should find info on this site that has been sourced from their site, please do not take offence, it is meant as a compliment, your work is excellent and it could not be bettered, so it was utilised and made available to others. (dracoalliance.com)
So this is basically him trying to justify his theft of images, essays, and research done by OTHERS and claiming it for himself. Of course, he tries to cover-up that fact by saying:
Plagiarism is the the act of stealing and passing off the ideas, words, or other intellectual property produced by another as one's own. For example, using someone else's words in a research paper without citing the source, is an act of plagiarism. All the works on this site are credited to the original authors and artists. (dracoalliance.com)
What Mr. DracoAlliance fails to note, is that he did not cite where the information came from, and indeed claimed MY work as his property, and his sole copyright. He completely fails to recognize that, while in research papers and biographical works it IS okay to quote someone else's work, you cannot simply re-print someone else's work in it's entirety and then pass it off as your own! Which is what this person has done.

As you can all guess, I am SO calling my lawyer!
Once you actually get into the website there's a warning below the sidebar:

Brandon, did you take screen-grabs of the Draco pages? I ask because it would be evidence-absolute of their intent at plagerism, particularly with the evidence of the hastily altered disclaimers which points to the effort to cover their asses after the fact.

No, but a friend took some caps. I'll check with him. Simple fact of the matter is, he was not to reproduce ANY content from my website without written consent sent via U.S. Postal, as I stated at my own website.

It seem obvious to me that the people running DracoAlliance will not be removing any of material they have stolen.

As a matter of fact, they seem to be ignoring any and all attempts to contact them.

This being the case, I would like to ask all of you to help me go directly to DracoAlliance's domain host and demand that they take some action to rectify this blatant act of plagiarism.

You can contact DracoAlliance's domain host at:

Well, it turns out that he didn't just rip me off, but he ripped off Steve Grimm, the owner of the "Lurkers Guide to Babylon 5", the very FIRST website dedicated to Babylon 5!

DracoAlliance's Character Bio. section:

http://www.dracoalliance.com/tv%20guide.htm

-- is nothing more than a copy of Steve Grimm's Lurker's Guide Bios at:

http://www.midwinter.com/lurk/universe/cast-1.html

Proof that this guy will steal from ANYONE!

What a loser. I hope that you sue this jackass for everything he's worth. He's so obviously deliberately stealing your intellectual property that I can see no reason not to take him to the cleaners.

If I sue him, I lose money too, thogh.

I'd rather put an end to this without spending money.

This is why I want everyone's help in e-mailing his domain host at:

I e-mailed the Lurkers guide, and I e-mailed B5tv.com, as it looks like some of their stuff was stolen as well.

I still think that, for now, the best thing we can do is e-mail his domain host and hope they will shut him down.

Speaking of JMS, have you thought of informing him of this crime. I know he regularly posts on the newsgroup: rec.arts.sf.tv.babylon5.moderated, but you probably already knew that. Having the support of "The Maker," may go along way to convince those guys to cease and desist.

I agree completely. I would still recommend legal action against this perpetrator. He's clearly a jerk, and his candid demeanor about his plagiarism is only more reason to send him a lesson. Good luck, Mr. Bray. Get this guy off the net.

If you need to, find out the number for, and *call* his ISP, making sure they know what's going on. Which should be more prompt than any e-mail.

A friend of mine, ZED, sent me the following message:
I have an AOL account that I've used to email these people. I can track the status and whats done to the email with it. They aren't even bothering to ready material related to the current situation, they're straight deleteing it.
This gives you all an idea of how much these people regard their fellow B5 fans, to say nothing of other website owners.

Thus far, by my count, they've ripped off me, the Lurkers Guide, ISNnews.net, and B5LR.com.

More news!

It seems the DracoAlliance people have decided to continue their intellectual RAPE of my website and they justify it by making it so only their members can see just how much they HAVE raped this site!
Our apologies but site is now unfortunately for rpg club members only. (dracoalliance.com)
Do they actually think that THIS piss poor policy change fixes this!?!

Oh, and NOW the DracoThieves state at their copy of my site:
Text content of Draco Alliance is from various sources and may not be reproduced without written consent of original authors. Pictures and images are © of their original artists and may not be reproduced without written consent of said artists. (www.dracoalliance.com/B5%20homepage.htm )
So, let me get this strait... they want OTHER people who visit the DracoThieves website to honor the copyright of all the work they stole, and for OTHER people to obtain the written permission that the DracoThieves FAILED to get!?!?!?!

Hypocrisy, thy name is f-ing retards from the "DracoAlliance of Thieves and Rapists".

Until the issue with the DracoAlliance is concluded, there will be NO more site updates at B5TECH. No new images will be posted, no new essays will be made, no new movies or original CGI artwork will be posted - nothing.

Due to the fact that the DracoAlliance refuses to do the right thing, I cannot make any changes to my own website, for legal reasons, in order to preserve existing evidence that the owners of the DracoAlliance are indeed plagiarizing the whole content of B5TECH.

If you would like to help bring this issue to a close, you can do so by e-mailing the owners of the DracoAlliance at dracoalliance@aol.com or, better yet, contacting their domain host at domainadmin@getdotted.com.

For those of you who enjoy B5TECH, thank-you for understanding.
