Yeah that sums it up for me too. I include the original cartoon as well though. The cartoons are the Clone Wars as far as I care. Especially with all I have read on this forum about Karen Traviss.Vympel wrote:Seriously? When I watch the new cartoon, I just ignore all the old stuff. I haven't read any of it, have no desire to, so ... meh.

Didn't notice the Necro. Oh well, doesn't matter, it was a substantive post. Continue!

Pardon my ignorance, "Necro"?
And I try to watch the cartoons and keep in mind the broader picture, but I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment that they went a little overboard with trying to fit all the same characters into every single important event of the Clone Wars in such a short space of time.

You performed an act of necromancy, as this thread was long dead - i.e. it dates from 2008.
The zombie walks, etc.
No big deal, I let it slide, but in general don't do it.

Alrighty then. I shall keep that in mind in the future. I was actually curious about that sort of thing but figured the best way would be a trial by fire.
Re: Too many Clones, not enough War
To be honest, isn't the current problem too much war, not enough clones?:D Or main heroes?:D

Yes, pretty much. You have the same clones appearing over and over (except the ones who die) and you have the same admirals and generals. Of course a lot of the clones aren't the same, they all look pretty much alike after all, though I have yet to figure out why...
I could understand seeing the same Jedi over and over again, theoretically Jedi are part of the chain of command of the GAR, but they can be moved from hot spot to hot spot when they are needed. The clones, on the other hand, should be stuck in their location in the order of battle. If you're commanding officer is replaced by Commander Cody and Obi Wan whenever there is trouble, don't you think that tells the troopers under him that Republic High Command (or whatever they would call it) has no confidence in their usual commander? And when troopers start thinking that, even about a fellow clone, then they start losing confidence in him. After all, he hasn't won them any battles, its Obi wan and Cody who win them. Or Anakin and Rex.

You have a point. However, the scale of the war is so great that we're probably not seeing most of the battlefields. The show just focusses on Anakin and Obi-wan's missions.I could understand seeing the same Jedi over and over again, theoretically Jedi are part of the chain of command of the GAR, but they can be moved from hot spot to hot spot when they are needed. No, I wasn't serious. Don't worry, even though I have trouble telling them apart sometimes I do know why they all look the same. The Romulan Republic wrote:Are you serious? It would be nice then if they made it in some sort of order. If I remember correctly there is a battle that begins in the series and ends in the movie. And I believe it only just was shown a couple weeks ago. Unless I'm completely wrong and its the second, or third, battle. The Romulan Republic wrote:You have a point.
