He IS right about the E-11 being a carbine (more like an SMG, even. Hmm-what could POSSIBLY be the reason for that? :D ) vs the clone trooper weapons being a full size rifle though, folding stock or not. Of course, while that WOULD likely give the clonies more firepower per person, they stormtrooper corps might have switched to the considerably more compact carbine for a perfectly valid reason, just as NATO switching from 7.62 to 5.56-the E-11 can ALREADY go through contemporary stormtrooper armour quite reliably so no reason for EVERYBODY to lug around something heavier.
'Next time I let Superman take charge, just hit me. Real hard.'
'You're a princess from a society of immortal warriors. I'm a rich kid with issues. Lots of issues.'
'No. No dating for the Batman. It might cut into your brooding time.'
'Tactically we have multiple objectives. So we need to split into teams.'-'Dibs on the Amazon!'
'Hey, we both have a Martian's phone number on our speed dial. I think I deserve the benefit of the doubt.'
'You know, for a guy with like 50 different kinds of vision, you sure are blind.'

Yes, yes I already know why. :P

We see Stormies use the E-11 in areas with CQB being the mission: storming the Tantive IV, running around the tight corridors of Cloud City, invading a base on Hoth. Them using the E-11 on the Death Star follows a similar principle. On the other hand, we also see stormtroopers on Tattooine wield longer blaster rifles.

Carrying a larger (longer range) weapon on Tattooine makes a certain amount of sense, once you see how wide open the terrain is outside the settlements.

Or rather more often than not, Stormtroopers end up doing boarding actions which are in confined spaces and providing ship security. All of which became the roles the Stormtroopers came to play more often than not as observed in the movies.

There are advantages to long barrels, which is longer range.

And that's why Stormies carried long-barreled rifles on Tatooine where they could make use of the superior range.
