Does she even count as a Time Lord? It was a hardly a perfect clone. I always assumed, the clone-o-matic, scanned the doctor's DNA but only registered some of the parts that made sense to it. Though the likelyhood that that would make something at all recognisable or alive is rather remote. That's where the fi of sci-fi comes in right?

Re: Doctor Who "Flesh and Stone" (Spoilers)
The Doctor's ability to detect other Timelords can be blocked, we saw the Master do that to him via the Sat Network. Thus, the precedent is there for further Timelords to emerge that somehow were able to hide or conceal themselves. A prime example would be the End Of Time situation. It was commented on that it would make sense SOME Timelords might seize the initiative and fly off in their TARDIS before the Doctor sent them back so thats one avenue they could have a TL appear.
I'm curious if our mysterious EoT lady might make a future appearance, she seemed rather fore-shadowy and Moffat attempted to work somethings into EoT to help his future plans for the series I believe. That or a retcon is coming which will restore the Timelords / alter the events of EoT via this new looming threat arc. Some more information on who the hell she was and what she was doing would be nice.

She had two hearts, and her recovery, while not a full regeneration, definitely involved breathing out the same sort of gas we've seen from other RTD-era regenerations. My bet would be that she was young enough that she was able to do something similar to when Ten regrew his hand on the Sycorax ship.Crazedwraith wrote:Does she even count as a Time Lord?

Im pretty sure what she exhaled was actually some of the terra-forming magic particle pixie dust.

Maybe she took some sort of interactive lesson from the TARDIS manual. That'd surely tick all the boxes.PREDATOR490 wrote:That means River Song is going to be around for at least 2 -3 seasons since we have Matt Smith for 2. On the one hand fair enough but I doubt Doctor Who is willing to go with a proper longterm relationship between the Doctor and River Song. The character and premise of her story is such that its going to quickly become stupid if she is doing stuff like this everytime we see her. Its bad enough with the current trend of doing 'epic foreshadow' plot points without having River Song blundering about giving snippits of the 'epic relationship' she has with the Doctor or the suspense in finding out all the suspense about who she is.

Basic theory, Doctor she's with at the time says he'll teach her, then buggers off saying somethings come up. Doctor from some point in her future then turns up to take over. Requires no convoluted shoehorning of The Master, The Rani or any other extraneous Timelords who would have no reason to want to teach her.NecronLord wrote:Maybe she took some sort of interactive lesson from the TARDIS manual. Captain Seafort. His daughter had one heart and he outright dismissed the notion of her as a Time Lord the moment she was created.

If I remember correctly, Donna checked Jenny's heartbeat and found 2 heartbeats. That's why she asked the Doctor what do they call female Time Lords.Captain Seafort. His daughter had one heart and he outright dismissed the notion of her as a Time Lord the moment she was created.

Yep, physiologically she's a Time Lord.. Lady... whatever..generator_g1 wrote:If I remember correctly, Donna checked Jenny's heartbeat and found 2 heartbeats. The Doctor rejected her as a Time Lord because he was confused at this soldier that had just been created from his DNA.
He didn't want to accept her because he assumed she was a drone made for war, a mockery of his species. When proven wrong he does accept her.
He even makes a point that since she's a Time Lord she might regenerate when she "dies" but it evidentally took far longer than normal.

Re: Doctor Who "Flesh and Stone" (Spoilers)
By the by thats more of a Eastenders plot then Doctor who. The picture actually comes from the episode Amy's choice. SpoilerPREDATOR490 wrote:4
Horny Amy... sadly I saw this coming.
Yesterday, I happened upon a picture in the paper of the Doctor, Amy and her fiance. She was visably pregnant and it was suggesting their was a question about who the father was.
I'm thinking Amy is pregnant now and that links in to why she seemed interested to know if the Doctor was a parent. I suppose its possible she is only getting married due to the pregnancy and the father dosent know. Hence, shes eager to run away with the Doctor to escape the situation and being her childhood hero, thinks he might be able to solve it for her.

Re: Doctor Who "Flesh and Stone" (Spoilers)
I have to only give this one a three.
As others have said, the Angels lost a lot of their mystery and their malevolence.
As for everything else, I'm not quite sure what to make of it. Moffat could be on to something brilliant, or he could fuck it all up. Just because he's written some great stuff in the past doesn't mean he's going to do the whole universe justice.

Mr. Harley: Your impatience is quite understandable.

Mr. Harley: I'm afraid my people haven't. I'm very sorry... I wish it were otherwise.
