That scene is made fun of because it wasn't picard, it actually was his stunt double. Either way if you are seriously implying that Picard would stand a snowball's chance in hell against Vader, then you're clearly some kind of Trektroll or an idiot.

Well I beg to differ. There is in fact at least one set of conditions that would enable such a victory. First, Vader needs to be frozen in carbonite like they did to Han Solo. After that, its only a mater of finding some way of giving Picard the ability to harness the full power of a certain fully functioning battle station.

Although even with those in place I would not place a bet on Picard.
It has become clear to me in the previous days that any attempts at reconciliation and explanation with the community here has failed. I have tried my best. I really have. I pored my heart out trying. But it was all for nothing.

You win. There, I have said it.

Now there is only one thing left to do. Let us see if I can sum up the strength needed to end things once and for all.

To indicate what? :wtf:

That Picard will break his wrist on Vader's Faceplate?
That Vader will EASILY kill picard?

OR

That really wasn't Vader or Picard in the gif?

Either way the evidence is stacked against you.
And with this we've gone from 'bit of fun' to deliberately misinterpreting the funny gif. You know what he means; whether or not it's a stunt double and not Pat Stewart doing that.

Now you're just being silly.
Although it's interesting to wonder whether a lightsaber could block a phaser - if not, that might be a short fight. If so, it still might be a short fight - but either way we're pitting a melee fighter against a ranged fighter, and that's an inherently imbalanced matchup.

Heh, yeah, telekinesis. Because punching what is essentially an armored machine with an extra crispy inside is such a good idea.

On the other hand SIR Patrick Stewart could out-perform the hell out of the whole Star Wras universe, but that's something else.

The day that quality of acting alone becomes what wins the competition between Trek and Wars... that's the day I just swear off sci-fi entirely. Even if you are completely right.

And I'd rather watch Kirk ham it up over another crappy love scene any day. MY LOVE FOR YOU IS LIKE A LOVELY RIVER OF LOVING, LOVE.

Devil's advocate time!

You know Picard once went solo vs. a whole ship of Nosferatu monsters bred for combat (likely bred by hillbillies feeding them cow offal, granted) and won like he was playing Doom while some of Vader's mightiest on screen accomplishments include killing old men and children.
