I am tempted to join, after my shy attempt on SDW1.
Since my attempts at making an original faction quickly devolve into Emoish Grimdarkerism, I'm thinking of playing a fanfic-ized version of The Boyz.
What has been decided on Hyperspatial topology and the whole thing about "slow" areas with independent corridors? Can't be properly raidery without some badlands to inhabit.

Re: An SDNW Proposal
High friction areas, or shoals to those with an insistence on nautical terminology, are the bad lands you seek. They're known for much slower hyperdrive speeds, though there's patches and such that allow better (though still bad) speed which pirates and such will have bothered to map out. They're also known for impairing subspace sensors, So yeah its the perfect place to be a skulking dastard.LordOskuro wrote:I am tempted to join, after my shy attempt on SDW1.

Hyperspace corridors are low friction and allow very good speeds, some are artificial some are natural and they're a great definer of trade routes and strategic movement as its a royal pain to have to crawl through hyperspace outside a corridor for long distance travel.
