Proud Embarrassed Democrat. The lesser of two evils. But then, all politics comes down to picking the lesser evil.

Uh.... who voted Constitution Party?!?!
El Moose Monstero: That would be the winning song at Eurovision. I still say the Moldovans were more fun. And that one about the Apricot Tree.
That said...it is growing on me.
Thanas: It is one of those songs that kinda get stuck in your head so if you hear it several times, you actually grow to like it.
General Zod: It's the musical version of Stockholm syndrome.

I honestly don't know what I am at this point. I believe in high taxes for individuals but low ones for corporations but I also believe in a strong safety net and for gay marriage, guns and most abortions.

I am registered as a Democrat only because it enables me to vote in the primaries.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

none of the above, too jaded after working civil service to go for any of the traditional parties, if there is a canidate I like, I will request a temporary party status (let me vote for McCain in 2000, and Obama in 2008) however I remain outside of either of the two main currupt organizations.

I am not in any way politically active. My sympathies in American politics (which concern the national level only, I could not care less which party runs any one state) generally lie with the Republicans, if only because they are, as someone else already said, the lesser evil.
"But there's no story past Episode VI, there's just no story. It's a certain story about Anakin Skywalker and once Anakin Skywalker dies, that's kind of the end of the story. There is no story about Luke Skywalker, I mean apart from the books."

"Democratic Socialists of America" is what is left of the once relatively strong socialist party of America from decades ago. They technically identify themselves as a wing or faction within the Democratic Party that is trying to influence the Democrats more leftward. Because of that connection to an actual viable voter base (the Dems) they probably have the closest qualifications.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

I vote for people, not parties. But there is a severe lack of intelligent, principled Republicans in my area, so I tend to vote Democratic. My politics, however, are socially libertarian and economically pluralistic, and there really isn’t a party for that in the U.S.
