Bad Movies Forever!

Post by Majin Gojira »

Ah, B Movies...Some of my favorite movies are B-grade. The simplicity, the cool monsters...you just turn off your brain and giggle incoherently at the screen displaying such ludicrus things as Giant Insects, UFO's and Hobos.

However, some B movies are actually good movies in disguise. Examples:
Gamera 3: Incomplete Struggle (My personal Favorite Movie)
the original Gojira (Dark, Atmospheric, and slightly haunting)

As for the Giant Antimater Spacebuzzard, It actually was able to raise, at will, an invisible Antimater sheild...

Does that even make sense? Who cares! It's a B Movie! :D

Justice League- Molly Hayes: Respect Hats or Freakin' Else!
Browncoat
Supernatural Taisen - "[This Story] is essentially "Wouldn't it be awesome if this happened?" Followed by explosions."

Reviewing movies is a lot like Paleontology: The Evidence is there...but no one seems to agree upon it.

Ya know what's sad, I can not only name the movie that comes form, but several other useless facts about that movie, and the meaningfulness of that shot...E-gad.

The Shot is of Heisei 2 Gojira (Largest and most powerful Gojira encarnation, 100m tall) in his debut film "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah" (1991)

The City: Tokyo, The guy in the office: Mr. Shindo.

Meaningfullness:

In 1945, Mr. Shindo was a comanding officer on Lagos Island durring the American Assult of said Island. The Japanese were being massecard, until a giant Dinosaur, Godzillasaurus (!) routed the American's attempts to take the island. The Dinosaur saved his life, but was seriously wounded by the cannons from an off-shore destroyer (!!). Still, the American's thought it best to 'Let Sleeping Dragons lye'. When Japan surrendured, they could not take the dinosaur with them, cuz it was still hurt - and 12m tall (!!!)

Yet, the dinosaur survived.

In 1954, The Americans used the island of Lagos for Nuclear testing...that is when Godzilla first appeared.

Godzilla recognized Shindo...and came to the shocking realization, "YOU LEFT ME ON THAT ISLAND TO DIE!!!" ::SCORCH!!::

I could go into the origin of Heisei Gojira 2, but I'm tired right now and really don't feel like it.

On a side note: G vs. KG is noted for Anti-American Sentiments throughout the movie.

They certainly are a lot of fun.

Anyone think that newest Godzilla movie will be any good?

Bad movie?? It's at least enjoyable. However, it is indeed ideal for MST3K....

Now, if only MST3K started heckling old Star Trek episodes...

They did, only they didn't need to watch the episodes while they did it...did anyone catch the episode where TV's Frank and Dr. Forrester were forced to watch the bad movie and Mike and Crow (with a beard!) were down in Deep 13?
