Am I the only one who finds it extremely annoying when people on the news say the phrase "armed gunman?"

Are they implying that there's such a thing as an unarmed gunman?

I loved a rather retarded police officer explaining why transporting dulled swords was bad....

He didnt quite grasp the fact that in his wonderful example the person is already armed with a half brick....

No, every meteorologist is phsyic so they can find out what the weather is. They sorta have to read the screen since that's the only way they can see what's being shown.

Any qualifier placed before "unique". "Very unique", "totally unique", "extremely unique", etc. Unique means "without duplicate or equal", period. Any qualifier is meaningless.

Yeah, "homicide bomber" is a good one. It's sort of a badge of either stupidity or George W. Bush fanboyism to use the term, since the notion of a non-homicidal bombing is ridiculous.

The one that irritates me is co-conspirator. Since conspiracy is a crime that requires two or more people, conspirator is the correct word. No co- prefix is needed.

There is of course suicide bombing... so long as the bomber intends to just blow himself up and no one else (kinda defeatist if you ask me).

I like how Canada got a battleship at one point and how the HMS Nottingham that hit a rock near Oz was a frigate at one point then a destroyer then a battleship.

Then there is the .303mm I believe, the way every gun is automatic.
