Looking for a few good books

Post by Green_Knight »

Hi! I'm looking for any good books with Obi Wan Kenobi. He is pretty much the Batman of the SW universe, and I figured who could make a better recommendation than you guys.

Have you read the Jedi Apprentice series?

Turns out Obi-Wan isn't in any good books. Or rather there are no really good books in with him as the central character.

He gets some face time in "Darth Maul Shadow Hunter" but only as part of a sub-sub-sub plot. The vast majority of the book is about Maul and the original characters he is hunting and killing. It is a good, albeit dark book though.

The Cestus Deception is a pretty decent book with Obi-Wan as the main protagonist and viewpoint character (he gets in a few good fights, and I liked the story).

Other than that, I'm not sure. Obi-wan is in a bunch of the Clone War Era EU novels, but usually as a supporting character.

Thanks guys ! I will be sure to check out The Cestus Deception. I recently read I,Jedi and Corusant Nights part 1 and they were pretty good. Jedi was amazing. Sometimes I wish writers would break canon just to tell a good story. When Jax Pavan battles Prince Xizor, you know they will both survive, but it would have been much more dramatic if Xizor was killed. Just like in the game Empires at War Forces of Corruption when you have the option to kill Darth Vader, or later on when you destroy the Millennium Falcon.

Labyrinth of Evil has some good Obi Wan in it.
