I sneer, hearing the pitch, "Oh, man...I just ranted and raved about Petrochem corrupting the government, and now you want me to join some...unspecified undertaking I know nothing about, and become 'your man on the force'?", I sneer at the Nomand, "Based on your promise that you may have a shot at taking down Petrochem?"

"Why do I have the feeling the next thing that happens is your family calling in favors in exchange for a promise of help some time in the far future?"

[Norade]

Looking at the other man, face as serious as his voice, Zack says, "Listen, you need us more than we need you right now. You're just another two bit cop, while I walked in with a gang at my back. If you want your shot you have it, if not get up and walk."

"Oh, come on. Put yourself in my shoes: you're expecting me to agree to something blind, and besides bringing in somebody I haven't seen for years", I glare at Tyler, who's been staying supiciously silent throughout the conversation, "You really didn't give me much to pin my hopes on."

Tyrel scowls right back and in his put-on russian accent flatly states, "This isn't my place to speak. Zack leads the outriders, I'm here basically as his personal bodyguard. It's not my place to tell you any more or any less than he does."

Turning to Zack he says quietly, "I do think you should throw the guy a bone, he did show up with nothing more than a phonecall and we never did get along when we worked together. Don't tell him the how, but maybe the what?"


You can hear the screams of one man dieing painfully in the arena below, probably a member of the Slaughterhouse based on the cheers of the Blades. The crowd closes tighter around the top of the arena, tensions are getting higher, that fight is going to spill right out of the pit very soon at this rate.

[Norade]

Looking to Tyrel he shoots a bit of a dirty look says, voice seeming a bit exasperated, "Mr. Subtle as usual I see..."

His gaze to the man they're trying to recruit and Zack says, "I guess you're not leaving me with much choice here... I can't say too much without permission from the family, but I can say that war is brewing between use and Petrochem. The why going to stay my secret for now, but if you'd like I can make a deal and get your family staying with the pack." Looking over to the fights he gets the feeling that it might be a good idea to get going soon so he says, "It isn't safe, but it's got more friendly guns than most places around, that and we can find your sister some real work if she can handle it. Anyway, I don't fancy a fist fight with some more metal than meat idiot so I'm going to have the Tyrel round up the crew while I check if there's any work for me. You don't need to decide now, but I need to know soon."

With that the larger man nods to Tyrel and then walks over to his planted fixer asking, "So, any work out there that our outriders and myself might be interested in?"

I think about the whole thing for a while. I've seen war on the streets, and I'm not sure I want to help spark another one. On the other hand - Zack doesn't know it, but his offer to let my family stay with his pack is really tempting. I don't know if I'll be able to convince my father, but the Nomads would at least keep an eye on Tatiana.

I'd be ready to do much just for this offer alone. On the other hand, if it did go south...I'd be giving them hostages.

"All right, Tyler.", I finally say, "Give me a day to think this through. Do you have a secure way of reaching me?"

Joe sidles up, speaking out of the corner of his mouth as usual, "Nothing overly promising, one of those psychos in the black and red leathers says he'll give 200eb for every intact Bozo corpse we can bring him. Those Sacred Blades guys have got a cool idea going, you know they take on fully cybered up psycho's with just machetes? Anyways if you want connections in either gang it'll be easy enough, both have pretty straight forward initiations. Could be usefull. Some Corp is in here of all places, but he's willing to pay good old American Greenbacks for someone willing to cause a distraction down near the marina. I think the only thing keeping both gangs from tearing him apart is the goon with him that gives even me the willies."

Bosco, Tyrel* just says that they've got your cell number, obviously. "Is there a better way to get ahold of you, or would you prehaps prefer Zacks net mail or cell number?"

"Seeing as this thing is shady as hell, we should at least use some basic encrypted net mail. Give me Zack's adress. The family should have at least one computer nerd with them - I heard there's an encryption scheme which lets people encode messages using a public key and hide the recipent, so have him set it up and text me the instructions and the key. I'll send you my encrypted answer tomorrow. We'll set up something tighter if I decide to take your offer."

"I know this sounds like paranoia, but I'm almost certain Petrochem has people inside the police. I don't want to end up like Barnes."

I look around, seeing the gangers grow more and more agitated. I can tell when a fight is about to explode and spill over to the audience - and I must say the owner of this place must be crazy or have a pair of chrome-plated balls, "And hurry up. There's gonna be a lot of blood here pretty soon. Too many testosterone-poisoned idiots under one roof."

[Norade]

"Hmm, getting in with a gang and disrupting things down at the marina needn't be mutually exclusive. Actually, we could probably cause more shit, just by trying to do our initiation in the region. You think you can swing both deals?" Asks Zack as he leans against the bar and eyes the crowd around the fighting pit while ringing Jake on his cell and then hanging up after two rings, letting them know to start heading for the door.

Tyrel is not a misspelling of Tyler, that's the characters handle.

"The initiation might kill you, but I got his number. For now we had best get the fuck out of here." Joe says perfectly calmly, you can see the iris of his right eye spinning, refocusing and flickering constantly as he scans the crowd.

Another cheer erupts from the Bloodrazers matched by cries of outrage from the Warriors. Aparently the Bloodrazor in the ring bent the rules a little...

"We'll call you tomor - Zack get the fucking guns and get out!" Tyrel yells as he shoves both of you towards the door. That heightened sense Solo's are known for suddenly shows it's use as a split second later a Bloodrazor gets thrown across your table. Tyrel whips off his leather jacket revealing his tattoo'd left arm and the armoured C-SWAT issued cyberarm he has instead of his right. He pops his wolvers and quickly wraps the leather jacket around his left forarm and fist he backs toards the door doing his best to cover the two of you.

The entire bar erupts almost at once into a mad brawl, Bloodrazers reveal their trademark claws and a frightening number of machete's, survival knives and even a few monoblades appear in the hands of the Sacred Warriors.

Joe stumbles and falls, four lines of red appearing across the back of his leather trenchcoat. Jake manages to catch the fixers collar and drags him facedown across the floor as they make their way over to you.

Incase it matters to you at all at this point Bosco, yes Wolvers and rippers are both highly illegal.

[Norade]

He's not sure if his close support team made it out or not, but when Joe drops he takes him from the only one really fit to fight and tries to get him out the door. As he backs away he speed dials Rock.

He's not sure if his close support team made it out or not, but when Joe and the close support team starts to fall back he knows shit's really not going to get any nicer. As he backs away with the others he speed dials Rock.

As the man flies over the table I'm startled, but not really surprised. The very concept of this place always was a riot waiting to happen.

I get up and start moving, trying to stay close to Tyrel. There's no point in trying to fight my way through, not with that many cybergangers: it's fortunate none of the idiots wear jeans as their uniform. I clutch the microwaver in my pocket, and hope the fact I'm not wearing any gang colors can keep me out of their sights long enough to get to the weapon safes...

My plan is ruined when a heavily armed psycho busts in and starts firing into the crowd.

Great. Now they're all going to rush the exit, I think, as I dive to the ground to avoid overpenetrating shots, And kill the fucking idiot.

Alrighty, damage and initiative, I roll fresh initiative for every round. It's an idea we've done before usually by just having a grid of pre-rolled initiatives before the game starts and it's works well.

Jake manages to make it to the doors with Joe just as they burst open and Rock wades in, FN-FAL popping off a single well-placed shot over Tyrel's shoulder. A Bloodrazor's head snaps back as he charges towards Zack, a large messy crater appearing in the back of it. Another slashes at Tyrel with his rippers, ripping through the jacket Tyrel had wrapped around that forearm, Tyrel screams in pain and rage, returning the favour by opening the poor bastard from groin to throat.

Zack your next up with an initiative of 16, the bouncers havn't had time to react yet, despite his size Rock can move pretty damn quick. Bosco, you'll be going last this round, the dice didn't seem to like you much and you caught only a 7.

[Norade]

Moving back Zack towards the door Zack turns to a bouncer and says, "Get me my rifle and I'll be more than happy to pull the hell out of here."

He also motions for Rock to toss him over the pistol hanging from his belt.

I keep low, trying to get into a safe area, and counting on not being attacked, If I do become a victim, the offender will get the microwaver treatment.

[Kheitain]

Edward comes running up, "Give me your keys!" he yells at both of you. I'm assuming Zack and Tyrels weapons are checked together, the little numbered cards they gave you actually have a microchip in them to open the rotary style weapons locker they use for storage. (Assuming Bosco does as well, the young'un aces his athletics check to catch the thrown cards) He catches them both and dives over the counter towards the weapons locker.

Finally the bouncers seem to work their seeming collective brain and realize that some massive guy just started popping shots into their club. The first three start forwards and either realize that he's taking not only carefull, but very skilled aim at gangers, or maybe that you are operating as a unit, or maybe it's just the speed and ferocity of the big, armoured solo. Either way the first two fire warning bursts and the third starts throwing escapee's out the door.

Unfortunately the fourth didn't seem to share that collective sentiment and opens fire with his Ingram MAC 10 on Rock, turning his left side into a mess of gore. The big man staggers, what's left of his left arm flops around but surprisingly he keeps standing and tosses the FN-FAL towards Zack, drawing his pistol instead. It's a decent effort but the rifle clatters to the ground just beside you. (Both of you failed the athletics check)

Taking advantage of your distraction a Bloodrazor leaps at Zack and claws wildly at you. One takes you across the chest, luckily the armour stops that, the other manages to get through the armour on your right arm for 1 point of damage.

Bosco you've managed to escape notice so far, the boosters are mainly interested in fighting each other. You're about at the counter where the weapons are checked, pretty much in the entrance way. The rifle is a little bit behind your feet, you could get out the door on your next movement, or over the counter.


Just a note, I've ruled that additional actions may be taken in a round, but at -3 to both initiative and the action.
ie you have and initiative of 17 and first run across the bar, then you fire, and finally dive behind a table. You're initial run happens at 17 in the order, the firing at 14 with a penalty of -3 on the to hit roll, so anyone who rolled a 15-16 on initiative will go before you. Finally your dive happens at 11, so you may well get shot in the middle. Hence why Rock actually moved twice in this round, but threw like a girl.

Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!, is the only word that goes through my head as I make my way through a bloodthirsty crowd. Seeing an administrator - some kid, not even my age - screaming his head off, I throw my key to him, and immediately drop to the ground when a fucking bouncer fires a long burst at the psycho Nomad.

I finally get to the counter and jump behind it, just as a ganger starts slashing at Zack, "Give me my goddamned gun back, will ya?", I say to the kid, while frantically searching for my cell phone.

Quickdrawing the handgun Rock's next shot sounds like a cannon going off. It tears right through the bouncers' head ricocheting again after. Jake drags Joe right out the doors and takes cover behind Rocks motorcycle, he then pulls an old lever action Nomad Rifle out from the saddlebag and takes aim at the remaining bouncers. "We've no fight with you, we just want the rest of our pack out, then we go!" He yells, hoping the other three don't turn Rock into Swiss Cheese.

He's not quick enough, the two on Rocks other side let rip with their Ingrams just as Jake is screaming his warning. This time he fairs slightly better, most of the rounds seem to scatter, with only a few hitting him. Most seem to hit his leg, though another does catch his bare arm. Blood gushing out of the wound Rock continues standing he stumbles again but continues in his duty, taking aim over Tyrels shoulder. "You'll have to kill me you little bitch 'cause I ain't leavin' without them," he growls through gritted teeth at the two fuckwits that tried to shoot him. The name "Rock" above the patch on his flack vest is starting to make sense.

Edward screaming more in rage than fear, it's hard to tell the difference he does look only about 17. Spins the rotary looking for the numbers of anyones guns he has the key to. Up first, Bosco, he manages to get your box open and just overturns the lockbox, dumbing its' contents across the floor in front of you. He continues spinning looking for his and Zacks...

Bosco your up just as your gun hits the ground. Zack there's Tyrel and Bouncer still before you get to return fire.

They have no fight?!, I can't believe what I just heard over the sounds of the riot and the shooting. I glance at the bouncer the psycho Nomand shot, and the brains splattered on the wall leave no doubt he's dead. No fight my ass.

"Shit", I curse under my breath. As the scared kid is fumbling with the safe, I finally manage to fish out my cell phone, and dial 911. I hold the phone with my arm, sit down on the floor and pick up the pistol, slamming a magazine in and racking the slide.

To be mildly fair the pack really doesn't want to kill the bouncers, but you know nomads, pack first everything else in the universe second. Kind of sweet actually

The Remaining bouncers completely loses his cool, that man should not be alive, let alone standing. He tackles Rock, throwing himself bodily into the injured Solo's knees sending Rock sprawling onto his mangled left side. Ashton gets backed against the wall oppositte Zack, trying to fend off an unarmed and a machete weilding Sacred Blade.

Edward meanwhile has found the container holding Tyrel and Zacks guns, "Tyrel! I got 'em!" he yells loudly as he can over the noise of the riot.

"911 Emergency, how may I help you?"

"This is officer Boscorelli, badge number Alpha Juliet Tango One Three Five One Eight Niner, I am at the Slammer, there's been a...", I flinch, as Edward yells with an unexpected strenght, "...a riot, with shots fired, massive use of illegal cyberware. I need backup and an ambulance...", there's a crash as another ganger collapses, "...several ambulances."

[Norade]

Dodging the blade's attacks and scooping up the battle rifle Zack gets ready to try to kill the guy in front of him and then get the assholes off Ashton. Rock will need to get out of here quickly as well though. He figures that Joe will have one in his phone if they can just get the team into the car he'll have a chance to look.

Thus he calls to Edward and yells out, "Get that guy off Rock, I'll save Ashton and then we'll pull out of here. Get Rock in the car and I'll call you from Joe's cell when I get a fix on a ripper doc who can patch him up."

Once my turn comes I'm going to try to get the rifle in point blank on the guy attacking me and pull the trigger. Then two shots at the guys fighting Ashton. They entire time I'll be staying near the front of the group trying to be the last to pull out.

Hey guys we've got another guy that wants to try out the game. He's building a sort of Eurosolo type character, which should let me move Tyrel into the background again. They guy originally planning to play Tyrel has completely backed out but I still needed his character to connect you two. If one of you would like to bring him in as an old contact feel free to send me a message. He should have a character post later tonight.

The first bouncer, the one who was thinking clearly from the begining clearly recognizes that an organized unit that just wants to escape, should. He rakes the machete wielding with machine gun fire, peppering the ganger with holes all across his chest. Ashton responds by kicking the bare handed one in the groin like he's kicking the winning goal in a FIFA match.

After the machine gun fire rips by you you stumble a bit, stuffing your rifle into your assailants gut. The rifle is still on single fire, but that enough to let his guts fall out like a bad zombie flick. You spin on the remaining Sacred Blade, just as he doubles over from the shot in the pills you shoot him for good measure. A solid hit in the bare torso, probably took out a lung.

Next combat round will be up shortly, I'm just rolling up initiative.

There's a pause on the line..."Again? I don't know why they don't just stick to settling turf disputes with that arena. We'll send a couple squad cars over to close off the block and put the notice through to the hospital. You know they have a doctor on site right? Are you injured personally or are you just making the call? It says here that you're off duty..."
