They just wanted to show off Kinect on it's own at E3, plus I would doubt any AAA kinect games are even close to being ready for announcement.

That doesn't really help assure the rest of us who are on the fence about it. Not having AAA games for launch is a great way of hurting sales.

Though you know, Natal is practically begging to have RTS games made for it.

There are other games shows before this stuff comes out, they have to hold some stuff back or they'll have nothing announce and nothing to use to build the hype.

I'm not sure how that makes sense considering E3 is all about building up hype.

Personally I'd accept a little faking from Microsoft in this case, because a lot of the Natal demos I saw were in situations that would be really challenging for the vision recognition. People on a huge stage with bright colored lights, camera flashes and a moving crowd in the background has a lot more visual noise than the average living room. PS Move has a much easier time of it with just the solid glowing ball to track, the Wii even moreso with the sensor bar tracking.

Engadget posted a lot of videos of their staff trying out the Natal games in the demo booths, and if memory serves they tried out at least:
-Dance Central
-The Exercise game
-Kinect Adventures
-Kinect Sports

So we can pretty easily dismiss any "FAKED" claims about those games at least.

I don't think anybody can write off something based on a 2 minute demo at E3, why not wait until the games actually get close to being released and then maybe start jumping to conclusions about them. As far as I know they haven't even officially announced a price for either the sensor or the games. Retailer price speculation is just that, speculation.

Incidnetally, the new Assassins creed looks very good, yes I know the trailer was CGI, but it still ought to be good. That is unless we get AI who have no idea how to fight.

God damn. I watched the first of these vids a few hours ago, and then had to leave to do something. I just came back and now both those links lead to 404s. I am most disappointed. And it looks so damn pretty, too! God damn, it looked really nice.

I'm still not getting my hopes up, because I loved the original Deus Ex and Invisible War was such a massive disappointment, but still... graphically, the game looks very, very nice. The bartender's cybernetic arm was really well animated and shiny.

Looked solid, although you could tell it wasn't quite ready to show yet. The takedowns looked a bit loose for instance.

It's been ages since I've played a modern game (e.g. Far Cry 2 or Crysis) and I've got no experience with cover shooters. All of the dancing around in the Deus Ex 3 demo makes me a bit uneasy. On the other hand, the developers have said before that the third-person cover system stuff is optional, so hopefully I can keep living in the past.

Oh yeah, and I liked the killer crate-bot. Hopefully they've got man-sized ones to make box-smashing for supplies more interesting.
