Anyone see the Enterprise Episode tonight? *Some spoilers*

Post by Butterbean569 »

I thought it was very good. It seems that, since the tech isn't all super duper, they have to use more intelligent ways of solving things instead of treknobabble. I thought the best part was when one of my favorite races showed up: Tholians! There wasn't a web...but there was a tractor that did basically the same stuff. Anyway I thought the plot was pretty interesting and I enjoyed it overall.

As for the Series itself...

'll admit that Enterprise really has messed up the continuity...and that the whole temporal war thing is kinda lame and, I'm sure, will fix all the "problems" in the end....but I still like the show a lot. It's nice to see the humans struggling instead of being the "mighty" Federation that pushes people around. Anyway just wondering if anyone else saw it.

BTW...sorry for the very poor grammar and spelling......I just got done with a 6 page paper and it feels nice to not worry about perfect grammar and stuff.......ahhhhhhhhhhhhh lol

temporal cold war, alternatative history, etc: really i doubt the TCW will undo anything. I think this is the way its supposed to be in this trekverse. I'm quite confident that Enterprise is a spinoff of the First Contact movie, i think the whole discontinuity is appropriate for a universe where earth had a peak at the future and changed its actions appropriate to the "So cool i want it NOW!" mindset that would result. the discontinuity isnt bad, its what would happen if we followed Zephram from FC etc. but thats way ot.

They fired phase cannons while traveling at warp speed. Just another day at the office for B &B.

I don't really think continuity matters in Ent anymore, as the TCW and Picard's entrance into Earth's past seriously mucked things up.

I liked tonight's episode, but what happened to that other Tholian weapon? Must every race use a type of phaser?

I think we should make an exception for Enterprise about spoiler warnings. We let a few people take a hit for the team and actually watch the show, post whatever minutely interesting things they saw, and none of the rest of us have to watch that garbage. Then maybe Berman and Braga can get thrown out on the street.

I was thinking about the same thing on the bus today. How cool would it be for a guy like Jesse Ventura in Predator to be on a starship? We never get to see any hulking, surly tech-grunts. All we get is, as Mr. Ventura would put it, "Bunch of slack-jawed faggots in here!"

Tholians? On Enterprise?

Did they show them on screen? What did they look like?

Not on-screen, unfortunately. We did see them onscreen in TOS. Enterprise just gave us audio of mechanical squeals and a SHODAN-esque voice.

True enough, but when you see your worst expectations fulfilled, it's still a kick in the nuts.

I can't wait until FirstTVDrama reviews THAT one. Has anyone noticed Whetstone is getting progressively more angry, insulted, and disgusted with Enterforaprize?

Saw this on one of their upcoming episode descriptions:
"Captain Archer stands accused before a Klingon tribunal of conspiring against the Empire, and his only hope of escaping a death sentence or life in the dilithium mines of Rura Penthe is an aging and disenchanted Klingon lawyer with little energy or enthusiasm for the case."

Not if you download the episodes with the help of Kazaa Lite.
