Congolese Kill Teachers Accused of Ebola Spell

"BRAZZAVILLE (Reuters) - Congolese villagers have stoned and beaten to death four teachers accused of casting an evil spell to cause an outbreak of the deadly Ebola disease that has killed nearly 70 people, a local official said Friday."

If people around the world had a clue, maybe senseless murders like these wouldn't happen.

IIRC a couple of years ago some dingbat in a southern state...(Tenesse?)...was lobying to bring back burning for witches....education helps....but dumb people are dumb all over the world....

It does`nt surprise me from african countries, i recently heard when missionaries gave them condoms to stop the spreading of aids they put them in fron of their huts.

Funny thing is, there are bleeding-heart types out there who act like these uncivilized cultures are so much more 'wise' or 'cultured' than modern societies, or they have some kind clearer perspective on the world than our evil capitalists/industrialists.
You'd think if they were so much more culturally/socially advanced they'd finally realize that magic and spirit shit was a bunch of BS. It's not like you need electric power to invent A Fucking Clue. :roll: :wink:

But hey, those fundies probably think that the Founding Fathers were devout Chrsitians who wanted a theocratic state, so I see why they might believe there were witch burnings in the United States at one time.

Also, about tha hangings, were there any witch hangings after the Revolutionary War?
