Wikileaks? How about Wookieeleaks?

Post by Elfdart »

Ever since Wikileaks entered the headlines again with 92,000 pages of documents about the war in Afghanistan (a story Wikileaks promoted heavily on Twitter), people have been posting Twitter messages about Star Wars under the heading of Wookieeleaks. Many of them have been pretty damn funny since they're worded like news headlines like this one:
Papers reluctantly reveal that those, indeed, were the Droids they were looking for.
There are countless others.

Major government installation destroyed by son of Emperor's closest adviser
Some of these are quite good. :D

Since I don't use twitter, would someone like to use this one?

Alderian Droid Programmer: I have proof Senator Amidaala died as a result of auto-erotic asphyxiation.
I've been asked why I still follow a few of the people I know on Facebook with 'interesting political habits and view points'.

It's so when they comment on or approve of something, I know what pages to block/what not to vote for.

All that USG money secretly spent to pay off these absolute GEM-writers to dilute the effect of the Afghan War Diary was well-spent [/tongue-in-cheek, I don't actually believe this], I'm having fun with this little phenomenon. Thanks for bringing it up.
"Yee's proposal is exactly the sort of thing I would expect some Washington legal eagle to do. In fact, it could even be argued it would be unrealistic to not have a scene in the next book of, say, a Congressman Yee submit the Yee Act for consideration. :D" - bcoogler on this

"Darth Vader unilaterally altered deal with Cloud City, threatened further arbitrary contract changes without judicial review."

 Oh, these are great. Thanks for the link.

Heh. That was written by Ashley Edward Miller, better known as the writer to T:SCC, Fringe and the new Thor movie.

A decision must be made in the life of every nation at the very moment when the grasp of the enemy is at its throat. Then, it seems that the only way to survive is to use the means of the enemy, to rest survival upon what is expedient, to look the other way. Well, the answer to that is 'survival as what'? A country isn't a rock. It's not an extension of one's self. It's what it stands for. It's what it stands for when standing for something is the most difficult! - Chief Judge Haywood
