All the fanfic jokes were hilarious. 
I remember watching this with my little brother. We enjoyed this episode, especially the phaser rifle malfunctions. First time we saw it, it was just so funny for some reason (probably because we were both easily amused) that we couldn't stop laughing for a while.

It's amazing when thinking that mess is a very good episode. But we at least have Harry as the butt monkey and Neelix as the useless betraying turd, thus all is right in the universe.
