Nitpick: Hitler's eyes were actually light blue, and he was 5'8''. Not tall, but not short either. Western propaganda often capitalized on his 'average' stature to give him the appearance of having a Napoleon complex.

The interesting thing about Hitler is that unlike Nazis like Himmler the racialist mystic, Hitler didn't see Jews as enemies on a biological 'race' level; he even pointed out in letters to Martin Bormann about how race in itself was a meaningless value. Hitler's antagonism to Jews was more of what he considered the 'spirit race' (i.e., social and religious thought and teachings), which he was opposed to because he wanted to revive ancient (e.g., Roman Empire) social and cultural values and ethics. Hitler's view was that removing Jewish thought necessitated their physical removal, otherwise their cultural contamination would persist. It is a more rationalistic approach than the more typical 'biological predeterminist' racism see by more rank-and-file Nazis and Neo-Nazis, however crazy it may still seem.

Huh, Heinrich Himmler was also one to talk about racial purity, what with his vaguely oval shaped face and almond eyes (insinuating some part-Asian ancestry perhaps introduced by the Huns, Mongolians, Tartars, or Ottomans). And Goebbels from the Dutch side of his family supposedly had some ancestors from Southern Asia, which could explain his famously weird looks.

Well lets not forget that the historical real Aryans were kicked out of India, and their closest genetic relatives are the Roma. The fictional "Aryans" of the Nazis never existed.

Yeah, I've heard all my life and even read in history texts that he was Jewish on his mother's side. So while Hitler preached that tall, blond, blue-eyed, heterosexual gentiles were the ideal, he was short, brunette, brown-eyed, had Jewish ancestry and a bunch of his cronies were flaming homosexuals, some of whom got whacked because of it when he started purging anyone who might hold him back.

He wouldn't be the first or the last genocidal dictator that was a complete hypocrite. Look at just about every communist nation ever; the revolution started with the commies declaring that they would free the workers, demolish the classes, and make everyone equal. The end result, invariably, was the workers were even worse off than before and virtual slaves to the state, the classes still existed, just the poor became poorer and more numerous and the wealthy became wealthier and less numerous, and the leaders lived like kings while they slaughtered everyone that looked at them funny.

In fact, I'm having a hard time thinking of an authoritarian regime that wasn't either hypocritical in and of itself or had a leader who was a complete hypocrite when it came to what he told the masses.

The Nazis were masters of "do as I say, not as I do". They started out as an anti-communist party, then allied with the Soviets until 1941 when Hitler made the asinine mistake of invading the Russians for oil. They preached about the supremacy of lilly-white "aryan" Germans over all other races and exterminated Jews and Roma, but had no problem with recruiting Japanese, Chinese, Korean, black, Bosnian, Arab, and Indian soldiers even before they started losing the war and got desparate; they even had batallions consisting of soldiers of Jewish descent! And of course, many of their leaders weren't exactly "pure" either. Neither were their allies in Italy, Japan, Africa, the Middle East, South America... They exterminated homosexuals, but again, many of their leaders were homosexual or bisexual, especially prior to Hitler's purge of the SA.
