Ah, just went searching around a bit, more.

They have pushed it even farther.

They are saying the Jesus Christ was a vegetarian and now all Christians should be vegetarians.

Huh?

I seem to remember the parable of Jesus feeding the 5000 with fish. Last time I checked, fish was a meat product.

They go on to reference stuff from the Old Testament, and go on to completely twist it out of context to fit their needs. I guess the completely forget the sacrifices and the story of Moses painting the door frames of the Jewish slaves in Egypt with lambs blood so that the plagues would pass over them.

Also, the Bible later states the consequences of misusing the Bible or twisting it to your own means. Read at the end of the book of Revelation, right at the end of the Bible (last paragraph, I think...) and you will see.

I just think it is wrong for someone to twist someones religion to use it to push their views. The same goes for someone doing this to the Koran, or Buddhism, or Hinduism, or whatever. You don't use someones belief system to get your twisted views on them.

Grr.

I know that everyone knows that these people are idiots, but I just have to get this off my chest, and, hopefully, educate any people that might not know about this stuff.

These people made my life a living hell when I worked for Animal Control. I once got a call from them, trying to make a cruelty to animals complaint about a circus that wasn't even in the state yet! Whenever you hear the name PETA, just remember that these are the kinds of idiots who will do things like live-trapping deer and putting day-glo orange vests on them in the mistaken assumption that the increased visibility will protect them from hunters!

Their heart might be in the right place some of the time, but their brains are definitely sharing space with their rectum.

Humane treatment of animals is fine, but PETA is in my opinion, an extremist group. They are going WAAAY over the line here. First the donkey thing, then this. I say we should just kill them all, because they wouldn't care anyway, as long as there precious lizards are living. ( Then there's the life-in-prison.

This is some of the most blatant hypocrisy I've ever heard of. Comparing chicken farms to the holocaust is throwing anti-tank grenades from a glass house, since Hitler, the man behind the Holocaust, was a vegetarian.

Of course, when they hear of Hitler's vegetarianism, they'll start comparing chicken farms to the Soviet Union's Gulags instead.
