Question: Should I make a fire truck cake this 9/11?

Post by Isolder74 »

I have a week to get ready to do it. Question, should I make a fire truck cake for the firefighters in Ogden for 9/11?

I have plenty of time to get the needed ingredients but I am not sure if I have time to make a proper cake this year. If I do make one I'll be taking it to the regional Headquarters of the Ogden Area if I do. This is where they park the City's ladder trucks.

If I do end up making a cake I'll turn this thread into the gallery for it.

I would say do it if you want to and have the time.

Your personal life and taking care of yourselves are kinda more important than doing a cake for (albeit heroical) strangers.

Kind of my thoughts as well. I can buy all the parts needed to make and decorate the cake very easily. I only have a problem with whether or not the time will be available. If I do do it I'm going to bake the cakes themselves earlier to avoid last year's problems just as insurance.

Time will probably not be an issue since the 11th is a Saturday.

I'd be 100% for it if I had a chance to eat it. Otherwise it depends on your schedule.

If you have time you should go for it. Politics aside 9/11 is an occasion for remembrance and honoring the fallen firefighters and police officers. Even though I am not an American I feel this occasion deserves some respect and tribute regardless of ones feelings about the strange times the world went through for last nine years.
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

If you have the time, go for it. And next year, do a fireboat or Coast Guard ship.

The notion of ship as cake just appeals to me for some reason.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

Well I won't be making a cake. Not because I don't have time but because I'm not feeling well. I'm sick with somethin and i don't want to pass it on to my friends.
