When it comes to things that make me feel old, the fact that the song "Jump" by Van Halen was released almost 20 years ago does the trick for me :(

As for me, I remember the hype for The Poseidon Adventure. Begged my parents to take me to see it, but I was too young.

No, it's when I load up "Nethack" into my computer, and one of my friends drops by and asks where I bought that from.....

Damn, I remember...

Atari "Pong" was new and cool; a can of soda at a machine cost .25 cents, a stamp was a dime and when the movie theater jumped prices from $3.00 to $3.50, we were convinced they were gouging us because it was Star Wars. The Commodore 64 was a "miraculous breakthrough" and debate was raging on TV-- "BattleStar Galactica, better than Star Wars?" I remember when Michael Jackson was considered cool & sexy, and Madonna was recognized as a cheap ripoff of Cyndi Lauper.

It generally hits me when I see an actor or actress that was once super popular and considered "hot" and I realize, "Damn, s/he's gotten old" and I ralize, well, I'm not exactly regenerating either.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!
Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!

I remember lining up to see Star Wars when it came out the first time.
For a time, I considered sparing your wretched little planet Cybertron.

I start feeling old when the kids haven't played a PS1. And don't know what Quake 1 was.

Really? Maybe it's me knowing DJs and stuff, but I would think a lot of kids would know what vinyl is.

I wish I was old enough to have been part of the personal computer revolution when kids like me were making our own compies and stuff from raw parts. Le sigh.

Um, I remember when Super Mario Brothers 2 came out and when the Gulf War started. :?

EDIT: Of course I remember 8" floppies; the computer my parents bought in 1994 had one as its B drive. 500MB harddrive and 66MHz of processing 'power'. What a piece of crap. :)

I remember playing the NES, as well as POGs, the Power Rangers, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Damnit, I wish I could grow up right now, so I could tell people how I had to walk 20 miles to school as a kid both ways uphill.
