What would you be as your 12-year-old self?
So one day, you have just woken up as yourself on your 12th birthday.
Enough talking to your former self. You now are your former self. You have the same mind and memories as you do now.
Oh yeah, and you are stuck. You are now reliving your life, and will continue to do so until your death.
So after making sure you'll do/not do the things you would've warned yourself about, What do you do?

Won't make the same mistakes. Will make different mistakes, as I'll be extremely very super bored in school.

The horror!!!
I would start exercising at once, a lot (those 20 Kg I lost at age 15 would go down way sooner!)
I would buy contact lenses immediatly.
Being a mechanical engineer in a 12 years old body, I'd fuck my math and science teachers heads so much they'd eventually give up teaching.
With the three above decisions, my social life would start much sooner and I'd probably get laid before age 16.

I would, actually, pretty much do the same things since I like the person I am today. But I would not take a lot of things so personally, or get hung up on minor hings, or worry about how others felt. Just continue on, being a bit more secure, maybe a bit more aggressive in some areas.
Although some things may be difficult to see again with a straight face, and in school I'd do so well I'd be bored. But it'd be worth it to go back and use my time wisely to learn new things that would later prove to be helpful...

Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!
If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!
Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!

Well, let's see ...
Considering that I'm a second-year physics major, I'd insist on picking up where I left off. I'd really need to enroll in linear algebra and second-level physics at the local community college.
The question is do you tell anyone? I don't think I'd be able to pass off having acquired knowledge of 3 levels of calculus overnight as a miracle or a sudden stroke of genius.
Upon entering high school, it'd be really, really weird. There'd be a few people that I'd know really well, but they wouldn't even know my name. I'm not sure if I'd actively try and get to know them or just sit back and let things go their own way. More than likely, I'd just sit back and try and get some work done.
I think it'd be funny if this happened after I got my degree and went to grad school. You'd have a 12 year-old running around insisting that he's got to get back to work on his doctoral thesis.
I'd also be constantly complaining about not having broadband internet access and a meager 200 MHz CPU, and I'd miss my OS X.

I would be a multi-billionaire, due to the knowledge I would bring to my 12-year old self about the behavior of the market. Mwahaha....

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.
So, I'm 12 again--um, would my brothers would go back to being 4 and 9 again? And would I be the only one who would be affected by this, or would everyone remember the time that had been erased?

I think it would a be very hard to deal with finding myself back in 1983 with all my current knowledge. Id have to live through middle school and high school all over again. I guess the question to ask is, do I just have the knowledge of the next 19 years? Or do I have the maturity and experience that comes with being 31 as opposed to being 12? It would suck to be 12 again and not find the same things fun anymore because I was too old for them.
All of us would end up being pretty wealthy assuming we dont get greedy. While I can avoid many mistakes I think Id just make new ones because Id end up changing the life I had and starting down a new road for which I have no reference.
---- EDIT
It just occured to me I would have wait 19 years to start seeing new movies and tv shows.

Cry as I'm reduced from a 1.2ghz PC to a 7mhz Amiga 500.
Then cheer up because I won't have to use windows again for a few years.
Can I take all the GNU and Linux source back with me? That would fuck MS over good (Linux 2.4 kernel vs Windows 95/Windows NT 3.5 or 4 whatever was around then... No competition.)
Buy lots and lots of dot com stock then sell at beginning of 2000
Tell Mam not to buy that moderately priced Cyrix based PC when 1997 rolls around...
Hmmph, seriously, I'd change schools. I'd probably end up a very different person if I'd bailed out of that shithole at 12. A lot less socially stunted at least. But then I might not have the friends I have now
Whatever I do, I'd pay more attention in science classes and get a better handle on my temper.
Fuck it would be wierd being 12 again though.

Fucking with teachers would be a must.
My freshman-year theology teacher would be getting reamed.
That haggard bitch I had for first-year Algebra would also get a nice surprise when I sleep through all her classes and ace her tests without a second thought. Maybe I'll independently discover calculus, just to show her up.
That graying wench I had for a first-year physical science teacher would get blasted for her utter failure to adequately explain the difference between mass and weight.
My first-year English teacher was cool (there was also a rumor going around that she was a former lingerie model). Of course, she'd be slightly surprised at a freshman's university-level writing skills.

I'd go work out with the soon to be my highschool track team so that I'd have a advantage and be even a greater runner than I turned out to be.

bored out of my mind and pissed off to boot. I had no social life at 12, and it was a small town dustball that could gain no social life, with a clique that hated me.

First, I'd push my parents to get a computer faster than they did (and I could easily assemble it); then I'd install something like Slackware on it. Screw Windows.
Second, I'd ask them if I could start going to junior college. If they ask why, I tell them that I'm ready to take the assessment test. I also take the SAT and PSAT earlier.
Since I'll already know most of the general education requirements, most classes will be a breeze and I can focus on getting my compsci/engineering requirements finished. I go on to get my Bachelor's at 18, instead of my AA.
Finally, as I already know what to expect from my girlfriend's grandparents (I'll meet her almost exactly one year later), I can probably avoid all the mistakes I made the first time around...

Take martial arts courses with a sensei who teaches a heavy dose of self-discipline. That alone would solve about half my troubles up to now (weight problems and fighting). Other than that there's not a whole lot I'd want to change. I'm pretty satisfied with how my life has gone. If it was 11, I'd want to change a whole lot more, but 12? Fine by me.
