The Shard are silicon-based and have no equivalent that I'm aware of, being some kind of living crystal and lacking any comparable biology, but the entire species is force-sensitive. That's actually one of the reasons I reject midichlorians as the cause since crystals don't have blood for them to live in.SeaTrooper wrote:We'd need to find a non-carbon based Force user and show that they have an equivalent.

Excellent, my point gains another data set. Where were the Shard referred to? The name is vaguely familiar, but I can't remember the context or source.General Schatten wrote:The Shard are silicon-based and have no equivalent that I'm aware of, being some kind of living crystal and lacking any comparable biology, but the entire species is force-sensitive. Wookieepedia is only good for indexing where information may come from, so I'd start looking for the things they list as sources for the articles on Shard and the Iron Knights.SeaTrooper wrote:Excellent, my point gains another data set. The only ones I'm really sure about are the Jedi Academy Training Manual and an archive of Dark Forces Saga.
