No, see. They think that by standing in front of the bullets meant for Iraqi soldiers, they won't get shot.

They won't have long to think that way once the fighting starts. Ask the Somali women who served as bullet sponges. When the fighting gets hairy, there are no holds barred. The human shields will not effectively stop bullets ... or at least not more than one.

No, but they might slow them down a little bit as they pass through :)

They will break and run, IMHO, when the shit hits the fan. If fact, I bet that they run straight for the US troops and/or allied troops for "help" when the shit hits the fan.

As far as Fonda, she should have been drug behind the nearest hut and shot in the fucking head. But I would still like to see her on trial today, but the only satifaction that I can have is that appearently she has lost a majority of her money lately. Karma is a bitch.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

I would call these people retarded, but that would be an insult to retarded people everywhere.

Yesterday Iraqi officials gave way to pressure from disgruntled volunteers, and agreed to place some at the schools, hospitals and old people's homes where they had hoped to defend the civilian population against possible attack.
Ummm...so the Americans were going to bombard old people's homes deliberately, hence the need to place civilians in them? Oh wait, I forgot, old people ARE civilians already...i guess that if a laser-guided bomb goes AWOL, it will turn itself around if there are Westerners present in the building it's heading for.

Dumbfucks.

It would be more appropraite for the article to use "collateral damage" instead of attack. At least protecting civilians is better than protecting Iraqi soldiers, which is basically treason.

Yeah, too bad they are not "protecting" anyone by sitting in civilian targets.
They won't stop collateral damage by just sitting there.
