And....Caprica is going, going...gone.
Really curious to see if Sy-Fy backtracks on this approval now.

Now, when they vehemently denied that the new series is not going to replace Caprica, my first thought was: "Yep, Caprica's probably gonna get axed". It's pretty clear that they wanted to save the funding for the new series, which is going to be more action-oriented.JME2 wrote:And....Caprica is going, going...gone.

Oh thank goodness. I've never actually seen Caprica, but I read the episode summaries on battlestar wiki, and it sounded like utter boring shit
Baltar: "I don't want to miss a moment of the last Battlestar's destruction!"
Centurion: "Sir, I really think you should look at the other Battlestar."
Baltar: "What are you babbling about other...it's impossible!"
Centurion: "No. It is a Battlestar."
Corrax Entry 7:17: So you walk eternally through the shadow realms, standing against evil where all others falter. May your thirst for retribution never quench, may the blood on your sword never dry, and may we never need you again.

Nope. The Network Formerly Known For Sci-Fi probably decided that what sold on Battlestar Galactica were big explosions and sex. And they figured they needed a show about sex and explosions to give their target audience (people who watch stupid reality TV and wrestling shows) an excuse to stick around. And now, this new bBSG series . . . is a show about a brash young flyboy in the middle of war. Yep, sex and big explosions.JME2 wrote:And....Caprica is going, going...gone.

So no, The Network Formerly Known for Sci-Fi isn't going to backtrack on their greenlighting of Sex, Drugs, and Rocks that Roll Blood and Chrome. If anything, the two or three fans of Caprica should've sighed in resignation the moment the greenlighting of the new show was announced.
