I think this is the last 'I saw Nemesis' thread

Post by Vympel »

Honestly, it wasn't THAT bad. Better than Insurrection and First Contact anyway. Stupid plot devices abounded, and the Federation jeep sucked much ass, and I don't know what was up with the wierdass Reman costumes- but yeah a perfect movie to watch if your brain is off.

PS: But honestly- the Scimitar ... erm ... did it have enough moving parts?

That is all.

Why couldn't they get a guy who will design an original fucking ship?

I mean, way to fucking copy the Dominion battlecruiser and the Son'a Battleship.

Eh, I would've prefered if they said the Dominion had built it or helped build it for the Reman Rebels during the War so as to provide the Romulans with an internal problem; Shinzon just modified it for the thaleron radiation weapon.

But no...a group of insurrectionists somehow built an uberadvanced ship all by their lonesome w/ little infrastructure and in secret. Right.

B&B probly don't like the fact that DS9 was good and their shit isn't, so they say, well if we use DS9 stuf that makes us look bad!

So then they say, ha! We'll use Janeway, that oughta do it.

then the fans go "Booooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"

Reminds me of when I saw Nemesis, when Janeway came on the screen, a bunch of guys in the theater begin booing. Then someone from another part of the room shouted, "At least she's not a starship captain anymore." Everyone applauded and laughed.

This has been said before, but I think the movie would have been a lot more plausible and credible if it had been the Cardassians instead of the Romulans/Remans as the villians. They would at least have a reason to attack Earth.

It would have been a lot more plausible with just the Romulans and no Remans at all. It would have been a lot more plausible with Commander Sela being in command. It would have been a lot mor plausible if...

I say Picard facing off against Tomalak one last time would have been seriously cool.
