check this out... PETA wants the NY prison system to switch to a vegan diet in their meals. How long, I wonder, before the Supreme Court has to take this one up as cruel and unusual punishment?

Actually, I have no idea how vegetarians can live without meat, meat has important proteins.
If any diet should reduce violence, it's a fish diet, because fish has been proven to contain a vitamin that reduces violence on people.

You substitute vegetables like legumes that contain the same proteins. I did it for about a year without any ill effects (not by my choice mind you... I went right back to eating meat as soon as the breakup happened.)

Great way to loose weight BTW as they feed you only as much as you need to stay heathy so the Extra useless pounds melt off, Of course you need to get every once in awhile

Also formed the basies of a highly expensive and highly effective diet

Takes two months out of your life, You go in, do some exercise, they put you out for a week, Come back out, Do another day of training, put you back-out
You can drop as much as 90 Pounds during this time and keep much the same muscle mass as before

Hey! For once I find this idea quite good... Prisons are supposed to be bad places (here in Canada, they're more like summer camps). Sure, the prisoners would make a riot or two, but after a week or so, they would be as weak as children.

The cost of feeding the prisoners a proper vegan diet would be astronomical. If the prisoners didn't riot, the taxpayers would.

But someone from PETA would probably say "It's a low cost to pay for all the animals and feelings of vegan prisoners that will be saved!"

We are talking about cafeteria-level food here, not the fancy healthy vegan diet! One can of green beans with some Flinstone's vitamins per day is all what they need to survive... if they have only a short sentence.

Indian Brahims seem to surivive on a vegan diet.We ignore the fact that Gandhi looked weak as hell.And a mess shouldn't have a problem replicating it.After all,its just beans,soys and green-leaf vegatables.

Of course,this will mean that the prisons will have to halt the manual labour programme.

I support the program but not for the same reasons PETA odes. It should cost less taxpayer money to feed them nothing but bread and supplements and/or vegetables.

However what PETA fails to realize is that meat is fucking delicious. I ate a pork chop today that was sooo fucking tasty, then I had a second one. Why? Because meat is dead animal flesh and dead animal flesh TASTES GOOOOOOD!

For christmas my dad went out to a far owned by a friend of his and personally selected a cow for christmas dinner. Blackjack was his name. Black jack was carved into several large pieces, some of which were grilled to perfection, others roasted until they were ideal. Then I ate them. In fact, it's breakfast time soon and Im going out for a steak and egg breakfast.

Fuck a vegan with an old gnarly turkey leg! Because They'd enjoy a carrot or cucumber too much.
