IQ tests aren't very good judges of one's innate intelligence like many tout them to be. They were originally designed by some French guy as a means of testing certain school students in order to determine how much extra help they needed in school. Then they were imported by America in order to prove the "innate superiority" of the upper middle class, which was never their purpose. People of a different culture than those that made the test almost always score lower.

That said, assuming Thanos is going to use the IG to find kill people who are more or less intelligent than me (using a method more accurate than an IQ test), I would choose for him to off the dumber people. Yeah, I'd be the stupidest person left, which would be depressing, but I would find the idea of being surrounded by stupid people for the rest of my life even more depressing. I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing I iced the cream of the human race while allowing fundies, used car salesmen, and TV execs to prosper.

What if Thanos the Titan equipped with the Infinity Gauntlet appears before you and tells you that he has used his powers to calculate the IQ of every person on Earth and that since he feels that Earth is suffering from over population it is time to get rid of some people.
He then tells you that you can choose whether he kills everyone with an IQ lower then yours or everyone with an IQ higher then yours, if you refuse to make the decision he will kill you and flip a coin to decide between the two alternatives.

Dude, if you're going to have a poll that you admit to be stupid, the least you could do is include an option saying "Who gives a shit?"

But I say, kill half the people dumber than me and half the people smarter than me. I can value the opinions of smarter people . . . it's the smart people who rub in the fact that they're smarter than me that I want to kill.
