making of Panikuu Muyo

I am working on a story about two guys who backpack around the galaxy. Essentially it is a Tenchi Muyo/GPX fic with a Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy spin on it. Although I already have a few ideas about the wacky worlds they would visit, I would like some more suggestions.

Any suggestions?
