Just assume real-life warship sales. Don't want this to be too complex.

The Blitz class corvettes, by the way, are the ones I was shooting holes in with gleeful abandon at Hawk's Nest. Neutral-plasma beam turrets fore and aft, low-velocity mass drivers amidships, single armor belt (unfortunately).

Buy now, before this deal of the season evaporates!

Realistically, a lot of the things will get pawned off on minor system navies. We can expect to be seeing Blitz-es all over the place for the foreseeable future...

Having a bunch of ships around that aren't immediately identifiable as belonging to the Sovereignty should prove useful. So yeah, I'll take two dozen.

The Union'd probably be willing to buy some, if for no other pupose than to distribute to Civil Defense navies.

Hmm.

Well, the Umerians aren't buying; they don't fit well into our tactical scheme. But at this rate, FL may be able to sell off most of the class; the ones that aren't snapped up by major nations will turn up later elsewhere.

Come to think of it, this kind of thing probably happens a lot.

I'd like twenty, please. I need some less-pathetic light warships.

The Emissaries would be willing to help others foot the bill for the ships in exchange for favorable political deals. We are very good at acquiring bulk material to trade, so turning a thousand metric tons of platinum into a non-aggression pact is nice for both sides.

I assume we'd be paying for these out of our GDP for FY 3400? If that's the case I'm willing to purchase up to 10 of the vessels, though I'll have to rearrange my projected construction, obviously.

I'll take 40, if I can. But what is their value? I have a feeling I'll need to dock them for upgrades for 2 months.

If you check the wiki, you'll see they're "$20" ships, which puts them in the role of a scout/interceptor/fleet screen.

Beyond that, any quirks are fluff-based, however. Certainly, buying milsurp from a fascist esper state will come with its...quirks.

Make it 240 then. Speaking of budgets, am I allowed to have a budget this year since it is so close to closing? If I can't, I'll just take it out of next years.

240 Blitzes are nearly the entire consignment currently earmarked by the Centrality for resale. Let the other buyers have a chance, and you can have what's left.

Once the Centralists catch on to the large demand for their ships, they may offer up more mothballed Blitzes for sale...

I think it would be best if the ships are paid for out of the 3401 construction budget: the cost up-front for paying the Centrality is only part of it; you also have to do a fair amount of refitting to integrate the ships into your own fleets.

I very much hope FL will have the good taste not to sell the vast majority of them to a single buyer...

$5,280 for all 264 ships. $20 for purchase and refits x 264 ships

Your GDP is not a large bucket of money that you can use to buy stuff infinitely. That's your GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT. You're talking about spending 10% of your gross domestic product of one year to buy a bunch of ships. 10% is given as the highest amount that would normally be spent by nations per year on their entire military on new construction and maintenance and so forth unless there's an active war or some other reason (like the Refuge's understandable paranoia and need to build defenses as fast as possible).

Did you read anything at all whatsoever about this game before jumping in with your Star Wars ripoff wankers?

Being near Orks and appearing from another universe count as far more than enough reason to bump spending up to 11 or 12% to purchase fast anti-piracy and scout ships.

Anything else to complain about?
