Definately seeing the nBSG parralels. Also, you got some fairly long range (for TV/Film sci-fi) space combat over mars.

...really? I don't see any of the parallels with Wing Commander beyond "battles in space".

Also, isn't it a great thing that they only made two "Alien" movies, and never continued the Terminator movies after the second?

It's known as "discontinuity", Stark. If you really hate the addition of something to a beloved franchise, and believe that the addition damages the original that you love, just ignore it. Don't see it, avoid mentioning it in discussions of the franchise itself, and make your view on that matter quite clear.

For example: "Threshold", Terminator 3, Aliens 3, etc.
