C&C:G online is fun as long as you get the latest patches.

Minimum requirements are a P3/800 with a GF2 or something similar (e.g. Athlon 800 w/ Radeon 7500)

The GLA is a pathetic enemy side.

And also, I didn't like the break with C&C traditition by using the Chinese. The whole thing with flames and big tanks just screamed Soviets, I'm sorry to say.

But the game rocks. I still prefer Red Alert 2/ Tiberian Sun graphics though.

Yes yes it is.

(Although personally I prefer the cleansing power of the holy thermonuclear fireball)

The GLA rocks, it's just not many can use them effectively (the AI can't at least) and like Nod, people don't understand that brute strength is not their game.

Yeah, people just tend to rush scorpion tanks at the beginning, then whine when the things get crushed so easily. I use technicals myself.

Provided the other side hasn't got air support, use 5 Mobs aremed with AKs.

They're unstoppable.

Alone they're easy prey for the chinese artillery, it's best to send them out with a few scorpions as support.

Pathfinders kill mobs fairly easily (especially in groups). Rangers with the Flashbang upgrade wreak havoc on them. Artillery well-placed can kill them (Nuke Cannon, TLAM, etc.) The Gatling Tank and Dragon Tanks also work.

I've found out the wonder that is the Paladin Tank: sure, they cost a General Point, but the things rock! The GLA sent a bunch of Rocket Buggies at them and their antimissile lasers shot at least half the rockets down :D

It's fun watching them create a firestorm. Until they set your base on fire. Damn.

How about using Hijackers and J.Khell to steal enemy construction vehicles? Then you can use both American and Chinese technologies in addition to GLA hijackers, technicals and rocket buggys.. :)

If I play the USA, I usually set up Predator drones everywhere so that those pesky hidden units are detected.

Did you realise that when the tech centre switches modes (in that cool voice, "bombardment" or "hold the line") it gives away your position?

Unfortunately. However, the benefits of it are so great that it's worth it. +20% attack or range or +10% armor? I'll take that.

I almost always use Search and Destroy; it doesn't matter if you have +20% firepower or +10% armor if I can hit you before you can hit me :D

I just replayed the USA campaign on "hard" ... it's far too easy. Especially if you spend a GP for the Paladin tank, because they have that antimissile laser and can work in packs to defend themselves.

As usual, on USA7, I proceeded to flatten the entire town and the base that was in it.
