Incidentally, it turns out Metroid Other M is surprisingly decent so far. I'm not too far through it but it actually feels like a genuine Metroid game despite the terrible voice acting and unskippable cutscenes.

do you find the third-to-first person transition for missile shotzing to be off-putting or do you get used to it? I found it to be so unsettling (along with Samus being portrayed as an emotional crybaby) I couldn't keep playing it. Have you gotten to Ridley yet?

I only just started exploring sector one. As for being off-putting, it doesn't really bother me and feels pretty natural to transition into, though having to hold down the trigger to look around is taking some getting used to. (ps the writing is pretty terrible, but the gameplay is solid which is the important thing.)

You're not reading what I'm saying. I'm not bashing the game, at all. The opinion I got of it, I got from simply watching not playing. Stark, would you recommend ME to someone that doesn't enjoy shooters or sci-fi? Yes or no. Would you say that it is a must play not matter what your genre preference is?

I think its pretty clear that Bioware's reaction to 'this needs improvement' is 'we removed it, now buy it on DLC'.

Also - Did any of you duedz try the new Doritos games? Harm's way is pretty cool, but boring single player. I'd actually like to see it fleshed out into a full-on "real" game. and Crash course is one of the best examples of Avatar animation I've yet seen.

Zod, that's not ME2. That's pretty much every Bioware game ever; they changed the emphasis from simplistic characters to forced dilemnas in Dragon Age, but its still the same shit.

What's sad is Thanas is right; Baldur's Gate did way better a decade ago.

I mean the stats end. They can hide it, but it's still a spreadsheet. The way the player interacts with that (ie, powers, weapons, etc) is less terrible than ME1, but there's a lot of room for improvement.
