Looking to buying a new computer, specifically...

An HP p6620f. At 500$ is this a good deal though. (or at 530$, there is a little ambiguity in the advertisement, so this other price is a competitors.)

What do you need it for? It has integrated graphics, so don't expect it to run any kind of games until you get a new card in there.

The graphics aren't going to be that much of a problem, as it is I am using a two year old bargain laptop with integrated graphics to play things on lowest settings. So this should be an improvement on that. But I don't play too many games.

More I am worried at how long this will be upgradable to a decent degree.

It is going to replace a pentium 3 256mhz. Not too worried at the max.

It's a pretty standardized system and it'll be faster in every conceivable respect to your P3 (or a two-year-old laptop, for that matter). It has a PCIe x16 slot which will let you put in a faster GPU should you wish to (though you may be constrained by the power supply).
