So it looks like he is going to review classic as well as Nu Who. Awesome.

I'm looking forward to it.

I had never seen Red Dwarf, but still found his reviews of it informative and interesting.

Great news and I'm looking forward to Sfdebris reviewing OldWho and NuWho, with their pros and cons. Also he can go against the grain of popular consent, as demonstrated in his Red Dwarf reviews where he felt Series VIII was not so bad and underrated. I wondered where his Red Dwarf reviews went, but it was actually because Sfdebris got into serious legal problems with Auntie Beeb and it had to be taken down, otherwise his account would've been rubbed out.

This looks brilliant. I haven't seen any stuff from SFDebris before, but I may have to start if it's as good as you guys think

He is reposting the Red Dwarf reviews with slight edits on his blip tv account, which is the same place that he is going to put the Doctor Who reviews.

He reviews lots of Trek episodes.

I think he also used to post here under the name "Chuck."

Name was Sonnenberg. You can look up his profile, he was really active at the time the board was founded. About two years ago life caught up and his web presence has been really minimal outside of the reviews.

http://sfdebris.blip.tv/ is where all his reviews that can't be one youtube are going.

Chuck better be getting some ad money out of blip.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

I have just watched his reviews of "Trials and Tribble-ations" and "The Siege of AR-558" and they are utterly brilliant. Especially the latter'sexpoisition on the Defiant. The review is up!
It's a (IMO) very good review of the very first episode of Doctor Who! Including a very good explanation of the Doctors character.

Seconded, an excellent review I felt. I found the discussion of his character most informative, I hadn't considered such an idea before.

And the first B5 review is up. And it's "Passing Through Gethsemane," for some reason. Followed by a 10 minute discussion of prison rape and death of personality. Go figure.

The follow is definately worth a look into. Its an idea for fictional settings which i have an interest in and he covers it quite well (even if i don't agree with Chuck on everything on this matter).

Probably because as Chuck states at the beginning it's one of the few that could be considered a standalone episode.
With B5s overall story arc and mini-arcs it's going to be hard to do the kind of reviews that work with episodic content like Trek.
So I stare wistfully at the Lightning for a couple of minutes. Two missiles, sharply raked razor-thin wings, a huge, pregnant belly full of fuel, and the two screamingly powerful engines that once rammed it from a cold start to a thousand miles per hour in under a minute. Life would be so much easier if our adverseries could be dealt with by supersonic death on wings - but alas, Human resources aren't so easily defeated.

There were plenty of standalone episodes in Season 1, and a couple in Season 2. I think it's really because he doesn't want to deal with the boring early episodes and starts in the middle of things in Season 3.

Besides, if he wants to keep doing B5 reviews Chuck'll have to do 'story arc episode ' reviews eventually anyway. I'm with fgalkin.
'Next time I let Superman take charge, just hit me. Real hard.'
'You're a princess from a society of immortal warriors. I'm a rich kid with issues. Lots of issues.'
'No. No dating for the Batman. It might cut into your brooding time.'
'Tactically we have multiple objectives. So we need to split into teams.'-'Dibs on the Amazon!'
'Hey, we both have a Martian's phone number on our speed dial. I think I deserve the benefit of the doubt.'
'You know, for a guy with like 50 different kinds of vision, you sure are blind.'

Well there's a reason I only have seasons 2,3 & 4 on dvd so I'm going to have to agree with you about the boring bits :D

Because it was a request. Being given $50 is a good reason for doing any of the episodes, I'd think.
