So wonderfully ominous.... (I also liked the choice of Orthodox liturgical music used in Ivan The Terrible)weemadando wrote:Oh hell yes.Simon H.Johansen wrote:What about Sergei Prokofiev's scores for Ivan The Terrible and Alexander Nevsky??

I have to say I like the TTT soundtrack, also the Commitments, it had some great songs.
"Oh no, oh yeah, tell me how can it be so fair
That we dying younger hiding from the police man over there
Just for breathing in the air they wanna leave me in the chair
Electric shocking body rocking beat streeting me to death"
- A.B. Original, Report to the Mist
"I think it’s the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately."
- George Carlin

I'd say my absolute favourites were:
Final fantasy eight music...that was just so damn well done, I ended up playing the thing through another three times just to hear it...
The Score from 13th warrior....Jerry Goldsmith outdid himself.
Also the Score in homeworld....undoubtibly one of the most memorable to date

Xcom ; Standing proud and getting horrifically murdered by Chryssalids since 1994

I feel I should mention that the soundtrack to "Great Expectations" (the newer version with Ethan Hawke) is really quite kickass. It's not a score; it's a compilation of cool songs all with the same general mood/sentiment behind them. Es muy bien. Two thumbs up!
