i was looking for Ultima V on the web, but unlike Ultima IV it´s not freeware so i cant download it. U7 was cool, never played sepent isle though.
U8 was the only Ultima i didn´t like. ascension was alright, even though it had several major annoyances.

You mean the entire plot? :P

It had no continuity whatsoever.

It is supposed to be 200 (yes 200) years after pagan...why the hell is all your old chums still alive dammit?...why the hell is the Avatar still alive?

U9 sucked in every way....even the graphics killed your machine because they were badly programmed....the original plot(the one they were working on just before it went to hell) actually made a little sense sort of...but it was still terrible. A terrible end to a great series.

Try either winmx or kazaa for ultima 5....I think it should be there..

Try playing it with a C128 or C64 emulator.

Bah, CIV III sucks.

Best game series is

X-Wing
TIE Fighter
X-Wing Alliance

Followed closely by C&C and Warcraft.

plot... i can´t remember the plot to be honest.
still the world was pretty cool. the tree town for example. and moonglow was cool as well. buccaneers den ruled.
what i like about ascension is that you can finally really see the towns. you can walk through britannia for reals not like in the other ultimas, where you actually walk on a large scaled map (not that i dont like that perpective).

annoying was, well, the plot i guess, you couldn´t travel in parties, you cant explore that freely anymore because you get taken everywhere by this pirate chick raven.

why everyone is still alive? i think the years in britannia pass quicker than the years on earth. and since the avatar lives on earth he´s still alive. the companions of the avatar are still alive because they dont age that quick for some reason i forgot.

I know most of you aren't sports fans, but I have to give the best game series award to the Madden Football franchise. The franchise has been around for a remarkably long time, and the games continue to get better year after year. Can you think of another game that more accurately reflects it's real life counterpart so well?

Hey, does anyone know where to get a copy of Wing Commander: Privateer?
They used to sell a version that ran on win 95 and came with the expansion pack. You could look around and maybe still find it somewhere.

Damn I miss that game...
If only,

Unfortunatly Privateer is notorious for needing proper dos...there was never an attempt made to adapt it before it worked fine in the day....it's only with the likes of xp that you cannot run it...

this win95 version you will find will just have had commands to drop to a dos window as soon as you run.
Ah, oh well. :(

Try running that page through google or babel fish....that at the least will be able to translate and save you a whole load of grief.. It's odd that even after all these years, 5 still hasn't been available due to copyright...where the rest have...

The fact these ancient programs up till 7 all run quite happily in windows too...where more modern dont

Half life....is probably going to end up the greatest selling title in history if it keeps up interest...probably a few more mods are going to be added also...
