I've found that the most common fundie response to me bringing up an incriminating Bible passage is "ummm, I'm not familiar with that part of the Scripture. I'll look it up and get back to you." And of course, they never come back.

Then it's not just me. I remember an E-mail salvo with one Christian bigot about the separation of Church and State and Biblical immorality. I quoted passages in their entirety for her, and she said that she'd "look into it." Strangely enough, I never heard back from her on that subject.

I can't really think of any alternative explanations. I wonder what would happen if I kept incessently badgering her about it. She'd probably resort to, "Well you're taking it out of context" or other such nonsense.
