Good riddance. Wonder if the revolving nature of ministerial appointments means that she will get a job again in several years time when everyone has forgotten about the Tunisia business.
Turns out that a five way cross over between It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the Ali G Show, Fargo, Idiocracy and Veep is a lot less funny when you're actually living in it.
Michèle Alliot-Marie is pretty well burned, as far as her streetpolitical credibility go.

It... helps... that Our Dear Leader choose his Ministers not so much for their competence, their intelligence, and generally their ability to do the job for which they are (were) appointed ; but for their lack of standing, so that when 2012 come (Presidential Election), no one of them can pose as a credible candidate for the Majority, leaving only Sarkozy or is chosen successor as the Heir of the Throne (excluding the possibility that the Opposition somehow get its shit together and manage to get "back" to power [In the 5th Republic, only ONE of our president was from the Left (PS, Socialist Party), that is François Mitterand]).
