Generally I go by three when not using different characters for various things
Coaan- Originally offered as a quick name for my first character when Keevan and I with a few others attempted a small p&p star wars campaign, It was Coan back then....slowly over the year or so...it gained an a and had a last name tacked on. Ever since I have used it as my first alter ego in everything.
Kettch- Tribute to the Wraith squadron novels and to the Hawkbats...eventually it earned my standing as a rabid ewok with friends...
Mithaw- A play on words...it's greek I think for Matt.

I have and shall remain DarkPrimus. If, in the very, very, very rare case, someone has taken that name (Or the version with a space...) I take the moniker DPDarkPrimus. DP being short for DarkPrimus, of course.

I don't understand why some threads are immediately locked when they're revived, and others are allowed to live their second lives quite happily. *scratches head* Is there some sort of difference, or does it depend solely on who it is that revives said threads?

I think that it depends on the thread subject, or if people start using it for a chat thread or talking off topic like we are now....

Beats me. I've been wondering about that for a while, too. What's really bad is when a thread is started on a subject, then locked because there's already a thread about it, then that thread get's oppressed for necromancy. I think Mike should come up with an official policy about dead threads and already-discussed topics.Zaia wrote:I don't understand why some threads are immediately locked when they're revived, and others are allowed to live their second lives quite happily. *scratches head* Is there some sort of difference, or does it depend solely on who it is that revives said threads?

Gah, damn zombie threads.
Started off my internet career in highschool with the handle 'Tonberi', after becoming an admirer of that little bastard after he whooped me with one stab in Final Fantasy VII. I think I had been using it or a similar title for a few games I played around then and '97 (wasn't too into PC games then, as I had a sucky computer untill late 1998)
Expanded it to 'Tonberi Muyo' once I started using AIM, and stuck with that for a while. It's still on my website, Email, and my TMFFA Fanfics (don't bother looking for them! ).
Then about 2 years ago, I switched to Utsanomiko, as I felt it was more original. Haven't ever seen it used by anyone else, though someone lited it as their name in some reply on a page I found through a Googlesearch. Other than that, I feel it is unique enough for my needs, even though I technically stole it from someone else. Let's just say I fought long and hard with them enough to earn their name and take it.
Oh, and only on this board do I use Darth Utsanomiko. Sorry to dissapoint my peeps here.
